So Frost Trap has become Tar Trap? Okay, that's fine. Just curious why? No wait, I think I know. I still mix up Frost Trap and Freezing Trap after all these years, both by name and icon. I only use the right one by virtue of knowing which position I have each on my bars. This is actually a pretty useful change.

Two new macro modifiers were added to ground targeting abilities, I'm not sure how long ago, I just found out about them today.
/cast tar trapIf you miss being able to place this without aiming and clicking, this macro will place the trap directly under your character. Not quite as good as the old position in front of you but skips the aiming and clicking which is better than nothing.

/cast tar trap
This will place it wherever your cursor happens to be, allowing you to position your mouse and hit your bind, skipping the click. If you can keep your cursor in front of your character you can mimic the old direct drop position. I find this one most useful for abilities I have bound to my wheel click.

Notes that if you are in camouflage and throw a tar trap on top of an enemy, it will break your camouflage. If you instead throw your trap on the ground, and they walk into it, you will stay in stealth.

Since I upgraded to Dragonflight expansion, Tar Trap seems to have disappeared. It is no longer in my spellbook and even if I make a macro for it, it doesn't work.
