I don't know if i'm unlucky or if it's abug, but Odarik didn't drop the memories.
Is there any % loot on it? if yes, which one?

I tried during one week without it, even after cancelling the quest ...

Reawakening must be turned in to the Runecarver's Oubliette. Enter Torghast and enter the Oubliette right there at the start to turn in and pick up A Damned Pack. After that, follow the two ? to leave and return to Ve'nari.

heads up for people who were confused by the fact that the object you need to get here is just called Runecarver's Memory which makes it sound like ANY Runecarver's Memory will do -- it doesn't.

I spent 2 weeks stuck and finally figured out the difference between Runecarver's Memories the category and THIS PARTICULAR Runecarver's Memory, with much cursing in between.

So for anyone else as confused as I was:

1) After you get ANY Runecarver's Memory (I got one from a world boss with a purple icon), take it to Torghast and right click on it to give it to the Runecarver.
2) This quest then pops up and says 0/1 Runecarver's Memory. They don't mean *any* memory here, they mean specifically Odalrik's Runecarver's Memory.
3) Fight Odalrik once you're on this quest. Hopefully that should make the specific memory drop for you.
4) Once you have Odalrik's Runecarver's Memory, take it back to the Runecarver for a cutscene.
5) Finish Venari's questline from that point, and when you're done you can go train your new professions in Oribos.

THIS IS NOT a quest for finding a random Runecarver memory drop/loot needed for crafting a legendary.
I spent weeks grinding this on an alt thinking that is what I needed (big mistake/oversight)

This specific Runecarver Memory is part of the quest that drops a specific memory from a specific mob, Oldarik at approx 38, 28. Within in the Maw.

Once complete, THEN it opens up the random runecarver memory drop/loot.

Stupid, while inside torghast, it only tells you to go to oribos(optional) and "retrive the memory" that's it. You haw to be outside Torghast in the maw for it to show the location on the map. The quest text doesn't tell you that either....

Blizzard seriously need to either rename this quest or give a better description pointing you to the mob.
Perhaps mentioning the mob by name in the quest log as the thief would be helpful?

Why do we have to fight a beef gate w/ HP that is 4-5 times higher than a player's before proceeding to the main campaign (which is a lot easier)? It definitely should be nerfed.

Also, who the hell make this mob CC resistant?
