Faces filled with joy and zest,
What a magical daily quest,
Howdy Ho! It's Marmot Stomping Day!

Put your Tillers straw hat on,
Go find Wika-Wika on the lawn,
Don't you know it's Marmot Stomping Day?

All the little girls and boys,
Love that wonderful squealing noise!
You'll know what this day's about,
When you stomp a marmot's guts right out.

So, come along and have a laugh,
Snap their marmot spines in half!
Equip your boots and stomp your cares away!
Hip hip hooray, it's Marmot Stomping Day!

People from both red and blue,
Crushing marmots into goo!
Why we do it? 'cause we're paid!
And it's such a festive holiday!

So let the stomping fun begin,
Bash their marmot skulls right in,
It's a quest, so that makes it okay!
Hey everyone, it's Marmot Stomping...
We'll have some fun on Marmot Stomping...
Put down your gun, it's Marmot Stomping...
Hip Hip Hooray, it's Marmot Stomping Day!

Marmot Stomping Day, hey!

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet. You can just stand in the middle of that little farm-majig and spam any kind of AoE (Fan of Knives, Arcane Explosion, etc.), and it gives credit as stomping any Marmot in that area. It makes this quest a lot faster/easier.

Not only do AoE abilities kill the Marmots as posted above, but AoEs can also kill the Insect Swarms. Just be careful not to walk through any dead Insect Swarms because they'll still slow you down.

Here's what I recommend doing for each class to make life easier when doing this daily as well:

Death Knight: 死亡凋零 and either or 凜風衝擊
Druid: Use 颶風, 狂野蘑菇, and/or 揮擊.
Hunter: Just drop an 爆炸陷阱 on the cart where the Hozen is at and proceed to afk for 24-30 seconds. Rinse and repeat as needed.
Mage: As mentioned above, use 魔爆術 with the glyph.
Monk: Spam 鶴旋踢 relentlessly.
Paladin: Use 奉獻 or whack/judge marmots with up.
Priest: The easiest way is to glyph 神聖新星 and use that. Otherwise just use .
Rogue: As mentioned above, spam 飛舞刀刃.
Shaman: Drop a 熔岩圖騰. Supplement with other spells.
Warrior: Use 英勇躍擊 (preferably glyphed to increase usage) and an AoE talent of your choice (preferably 震懾波)
Warlock: Use either 地獄烈焰 or 火焰之雨. Using the talent is recommended.

When you first talk to the guy they slowly start spawning, but there seem to be no negative to talking to him, alt tabbing out for a min while still mounted and then coming back a little later and there will be tons of them everywhere which can quickly be aoed.
Takes the same time but just seems like less effort.

AOE damage gets credit.. so does single targeting (spells for casters). Just dodged the swarms and dotted up the marmots as they popped up. Bing, bang, done.

D.E.H.T.A would not approve of this

As a rogue, I only use 飛舞刀刃 to kill the marmots, it also kills the Flying Bugs Swarm, although they still slow you down, even if they are dead :P.
Good Luck!

I had to tell all the marmots and prairie dogs in my pet journal to look away while I did this quest :S

If you're like me and you feel bad about stomping marmots, I just use AOE and it zaps em' quick (quick death).

The fact that the hozen yelling about the marmots calls them "mook mooks" is a reference to the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver. One of the mascots was a marmot called "Mukmuk".

I thought it was very subtle.

These do count as critter kills.

If you are trying to do a "peace" level toon, do not do this quest.
