This is the hidden quest representing the new "Call to Arms" system for the Dungeon Finder where the least represented role (tank,healer,dps) will receive an additional reward for running a Dungeon Finder dungeon as that role.

Doubtful that dps would ever be the recipient of said reward but who knows the effects this system will actually produce...

Tonight noticed that at one point, both Healer and Tank roles were selected to give the reward. So apparently you can end up with two roles simultaneously obtaining a reward. Tested and Confirmed. (5/3/11)

It should be noted that the class chosen for "Call to Arms" can change by the minute depending on the players that are in the queue. While this will probably very rarely drop tanks as the least represented class, I have seen several instances already where Healers could not queue and get the bag.

The bag itself is very tempting, carrying the ability to drop very rare mounts and companions (and some of which that had to be rep grinded before). It also usually drops a gem that can be very useful to Jewelcrafters. Above all else, the bag can always be traded to a different character on your account before opening.

I wish they would do something so dps can get this bag too..
I've made tank and healer characters for the sole purpose of getting this bag and sending it back to my dps main, but as it turns out, I completely suck at tanking and healing.

I agree... I only play as DPS I have tried healing and tanking and i suck at both...So it truly sucks as DPS because not only do we always have to wait for 25+ minutes to get in a dungeon, We also don't even get a chance...or should i say only get a small chance in Hades to get the Satchel of Exotic mysteries as a bonus reward. Heck the bonus for Tanks and Healers is being able to get in darn near any dungeon they want to almost immediately, but in addition to always being able to get into dungeons...they get a bonus to boot...not only is that not fair, it is BS too...

Just my 2 cents worth...ok now flame away...

Yes the reward for Tanks IS already getting instantly in to a dungeon, feeling free to come and go as they please without a care for anyone but themselves usually. And that IS unfair. Everyone should have a chance to get this reward at least sometimes, or no one at all. Do I sound butthurt? Probably...but dealing with pug tanks on a daily basis will def spoil your attitude. lol

Can i give this bag to my level 70 twink and get a chance to get a lucky Green Proto-Drake on him? :O.
I don't really understand how this thing works, but if i can do that i'll level up an 85 tank/healer and try a dungeon at 5 am anytime of the week :P

Well why do you think dungeon finder takes so long to begin with? Tanks have it harder than any other role. Dealing with aggro or healing is much more difficult than managing any dps rotation. Always being the one depended on is a strain as well. Let's not forget all the idiots who don't know how to play who queue in the dungeon finder. Sure we can come and go as we please, and now there's additional benefits to it, but it's still a pain and a lot more work for us to do what we do than it is for dps to do what they do. Yes dps are unfairly getting represented, but tanks and healers are working harder for their reward.

This is very simple for dps to get. Just level a toon to tank or heal, then mail it to your dps.

All jokes aside, yes you will need to tank/heal to get this. I've never seen the bonus go to dps, and I doubt I ever will. I won't complain about it when I play my mage, however, because the addition of this dropped queue times as dps on my server from about 20 minutes to under 5 every time. Really great addition for everyone :)

So do you have to be level 85 to find this? I've havn't played in about a year and I have a healer alt (lvl 40 Druid).

One thing I have noticed is that with the new 4.3 patching, the Call to Arms has kind of disappeared. I don't know if it just has to do with my server, but even on my alt server I have noticed it too. Does anyone know if this is still available, or is it just my servers have enough healers and tanks?

okay, i love tanking, it's so much easier then some comprehend.. lower levels are a pain but around 75+ it's so easy. i use my beast of a druid to que for dungeons and i've gotten the satchel a dozen times.. the only worth while thing i've gotten so far was a siamese cat companion that you can buy for 50g.. i'f you have trouble tanking get a druid make it a bear and go swipe something mr. swiper.

umm i just wanna say that after this has been out for a while now and that i have 3 85 tanks and love the satchel.... but at lower levels and while leveling to 85 it was very hard getting dps more so than it was a tank... and ive found almost 5 min max ques for dps at lower levels. and yes u cant get the satchel but blizz did say that they will be trying to integrate this at a later point. and yes i have also leveled a pure class so i know how it is at 85 but at least i get my weekly valor still at a decent time.

I still don't get how you get this item? What exactly do you have to do as a healer? :P
I've queued for random heroics several times as level 85 and i never got this when we were done.

What intrigues me most about Call to Arms: (Role) is that it is classified as a hidden quest. What purpose does that serve? Also what other hidden quests exist?

Because honestly I did not know how to look up Call to Arms: (Role) and wouldn't have thought to look for it in quests. (If you guessed I looked up the Satchel of Exotic Mysteries to figure it out, you guessed right.)

got the green proto-drake a few days ago when queued as healer.. good thing i play all classes as tanks/healers if they're able to do it...

had no idea that theres like 8 diff rare mounts you can get though

So, I'm curious. I'm leveling my priest solely through healing dungeons, with the exception of making plans to do my Hyjal and Deepholm quests, and I really enjoy healing. This satchel would be a nice little treat on top of doing something I love. Question is though, when do you start seeing the Call to Arms? Like, the minimum level?
