This plaque can only be understood if you have the
Polymorphic Translation: Nerubian
buff active. If you don’t, it reads:
Only the title is decipherable.
The “writing” on this placard is a series of burns, slashes, punctures and strange scents that you lack the sensory organs to fully comprehend the meaning of.
If you have the buff, it instead reads:
Ahn’yz
The Great Mage and Scholar who saw beyond.
They vanished before their strands could pass on.
We are forever less because of this.
Interestingly, the associated statue shows a trueborn nerubian, rather than a sage as the text would imply. Additionally, the lore book
Strands of Memory
claims that only sages and queens are capable of transmitting strands. Ahn’yz could be a queen, as the same trueborn nerubian statue is used for Queen Zaltra, but this is unclear.
