The antediluvian (or pre-diluvian) period – meaning "before the deluge" – is the period referred to in the Bible between the Fall of man and the Deluge (flood) in the biblical cosmology. The narrative takes up chapters 1-6 (excluding the flood narrative) of Genesis. The term found its way into early geology and lingered in science until the late Victorian era.
Colloquially, the term is used to refer to any ancient and murky period.

Completing this quest today (Patch 8.3.0) as I was just passing by and saw it was available.
When entering the room I saw the Antediluvean Chest in front of me with a yellow ? on it but as I approached it phased out. :(

Just because, I ended up going to Zidormi in Uldum (56, 35) and getting her to "show me what Uldum was like during the time of the Cataclysm."

Questline was then completeable without issue. :)

For anyone struggling to locate the chest if you're flying above it in Uldum, the entrance is in Tanaris.
