Edit: This journal is kept "backwards" apparently, so the first day he writes is at the last page.

Second edit: Since they started adding on to it, it is no longer kept backwards.

Assuming there are 365 days a year in Azeroth, this means that Archavon is at least 9900 years old.

Looking at the model of Archavon's log, I think the scribblings may be Cuneiform script, one of the oldest written languages, originally from Sumer, known as the cradle of civilisation.

I have absolutely no idea what it says, though. Either somebody at Blizzard will have to translate for us, or we're left waiting for the appearance of a WoW-playing language historian.

This would be a nice anti qq item. On my server (EU Anachronos) there is a ~2:1 ally/horde relationship but the wins/losses are almost identical (a difference of max ~15% iirc) and defense only loses about 60% of the times.

Very useful book if you ask me.

this is just an assumption but during day 900500 or something he says "it gets cold". I don't know what the max was so i cant compare the time, but maybe this is when the lich king came? If its not please downrate, i didn't compare times.

On Garona, both the Horde and Alliance Keep Captured count is identical (and has been before). Does this bug exist on other servers as well?

This might be the day that Northrend turned into the frosty glade familiar to those progressing through it... due to the slow drift of it upwards after the Great Sundering.

I have no idea what comes next though.

This is the timeline as written previous to patch 3.3. Archavon's Log is currently bugged in patch 3.3, I'll write up the new timeline after they fix it..

The Titans shape Azeroth into the world as we know it; Create Archavon.

10 Days Later:

"The makers left. Archavon left here to watch."

The Titans leave Azeroth.

28 Years, 280 Days Later:

"Archavon think journal boring. Take break."

Nothing Happens.

2467 Years, 45 Days Later:

"Been very boring outside. Archavon go to sleep. Some noises outside, it get cold."

The Well of Eternity Created. The balance of the elements is upset, causing wintergrasp to freeze over.

2880 Years, 13 Days Later:

"Archavon wake up, notice face feel soft. Not important. Go back to sleep."

The Old Gods' Curse of Flesh has taken effect, transforming all of Titan's creations, including Archavon.

5878 Years, 147 Days Later:

"Large quakes outside. Little people seem to be busy. Archavon stay in home."

The Sundering.

9900 Years, 225 Days Later:

"The little people come to Wintergrasp from across the ocean. Fight many times everyday. Archavon watch."

The start of "Wrath of the Lich King". Alliance and Horde forces fight in wintergrasp.

9900 Years, 260 Days Later:

"At night, Archavon sneak out and collect the armor they leave behind. Archavon try to fix. Tough to do."

The reason why Archavon has tier and pvp gear.

9900 Years, 285 Days Later:

"Archavon stop journal. Instead, watch puny little men fight. When they finish, Archavon wake up and see who touch orb fastest."

My brothers are back! It turns out they were sleeping in other closed off halls.

I'm a little mad that they left me alone to do all the watching, but I shared my shinier baubles with them anyway because I'm tired of being alone and attacked all the time.

Day 214760:

The violent little people have started attacking my brothers, which is sad. They leave me mostly alone now though, which is not sad.

I think they want the shiny baubles I gave away. I feel guilty now.

possible lore-explanation for the dates being off, granting an excuse for the writers making a mistake:

Maybe when the Curse of Flesh got him, his brain turning organic damaged his internal clock, or his ability to record really precise dates?

According to this log people starting raiding VoA 374 days after the fighting over Wintergrasp began, which means that the Alliance and Horde landed in Northrend about a year before the expansion began.

Not sure if this was re-added in 10.1.5, but only noticed it today for the first time. It was lying in the Wintergrasp Keep when I came out of the 亞夏梵穹殿.
