I found Gorlop at the lava pool behind the Worgmistress. He was facing away from the lava pool and any time I tried to use spike on him, I received an "Invalid Target" message.

After running around, logging in and out several times, I eventually just dropped my disguise and killed him the old fashioned way.

I got credit for the kill and all is good.

Just hanging around after the kill... he seemed to respawn after a minute and is now running back and forth between pools. I guess I caught him when he was bugged.

If in doubt, drop disguise and kill the dude.

This quest bugged for me (as for many others). I didn't wait until he stood next to the lava before I cut him with the quest item dagger. His health went down low but he wouldn't die. If I removed the mask he just evaded all my attacks. I tried logging out, logging in. Fly out of the country and back. Log out while I was in another country and then fly back. Abandon the quest and retake it again. Abandon the quest, log off and then log in again. - Nothing helped. He still stood at the same place with low health.
I submitted a ticket to a gamemaster and also reported the bug. Hopefully tomorrow he will not continue to be bugged. It's annoying cuz you need to finish this quest to be able to get the tiny Flamefly.

Edit: I spoke to a GM and he couldn't do much. However he told me to wait to after the server had been shut down, cuz all stuff resets then. This worked. If this bug happens to you, simply wait until server shut down and after it you should be good to go.
