The hunter pets that come from Bufo, Marsh Gulpers and Stunted Direhorns all suffer from the same bug since BfA beta. This comes from the spells Hex and Polymorph: Direhorn. The game's coding incorrectly sizes hunter pets that have the same model as the those used in these spells, and they are forever sized as tiny versions of themselves, because it thinks the hunter pets are Hexed/Polymorphed. It's quite annoying to have one of these attacking you in PvP as they're even smaller than battle pets and very hard to see.

I still have one from years ago and just tamed another today. Before tame its normal sized but goes all chibi the moment you tame it.

So, Still tiny frog as of March 2023!

As of 3.19.23 when tamed still shrinks to tiny :D

I had recently got a pair of these guys and it was so handy to not have them blocking my screen!
I play many BM hunters, but had not got around to getting more sets of these guys- until today.
I built a garrison and then went to Taanan to tame some- I tried 4 times- but each one turned into a basilisk, at normal size as soon as it was tamed. 😭
They each had the name <basilisk, __'s pet> over its head, but the profile picture where you see your main pet still shows a frog called 'hopper".
Was it really necessary to nerf this after 7 years?
Ok for PVP, make them normal size because people complain, but for general play, keep them small so they are out of your way!
Especially annoying for archeology, they nearly always stand on your finds! 🤦🏼‍♀️
