Tried to solo him as a 42 rogue with green gear (mostly quest rewards). He's now level 37 with roughly 10k health. Definitely possible to solo with slightly better gear (my weapons are particularly poor ;) ) but only managed to get him down to 2k health before he pwned me. Hits for around 200+ on leather, and his disease cloud hit for roughly 35 nature dmg every 3 seconds. Also immune to cheap shot/kidney shot, gouge may work though.

As you fight him, you get messages in your text box that say things along the lines of "Glutton is hungry" and "Glutton is VERY hungry."

Each time this happens, Glutton's attack speed increases.

I soloed this dude as a 42 feral druid. Pretty easy fight, just tank and spank. I had to shift out and heal myself once. Then again, i was semi-twinked.

His name means a person who eats or drinks alot, hence his speech, "Glutton is hungry" and "Glutton is VERY hungry."

Glutton is a level 37 elite abomination mini-boss found in Razorfen Downs. He is a powerful melee fighter and repeatedly enrages with the emote "Glutton is getting hungry!" during the fight, attacking even harder.

Glutton patrols the lower tier of spiral of thorns, and can be pulled without any adds if you wait for him to wander to an opportune place.

On my lvl 39 twink rogue i almost killed him i got him down to 2.5k health. SO for an average player I would say you cant solo him until level about 44-46 sounds about right.

Soloed as a Lvl 40 feral Druid.

Stealth into the hallway of his patrol tracks. There will be a lot of undead npcs, but in groups of 4-5. There will be a small amount of space in between the groups of undead, so it will be ideal to tank him there. Patrols will come in groups of 2 (Usually a caster and Melee), but they respawned in my case, so i ignored them in the first attempt.

Once Glutton comes near you in the space between any 2 groups of npcs, HoT yourself and pull with FFF. Hug the wall and tank him parallel to it and pray you don't aggro the pats (I did on first try :P). Use Frenzied Regeneration early in the fight so the 3 minute CD will be down once he enrages at 10~15%.

Maul away! Remember to keep up Demoralizing Shout and FFF!

Speccing into SoF may be useful, though it wasn't necessary(Had 5/5 Heart of the Wild instead). I also recommend for druids higher levels than lvl 40 to spec into imp LotP might be very useful for the heals.

Overall, have fun! GL with your spaulders, mine dropped on first kill :)

they both refer to one of the seven sins "gluttony" which is in plain words too much hunger

40 Feral Druid, mostly blues.

I took the right-hand path from the beginning. In the tunnel just before it joins the main tunnel is a great place to take the Glutton, as no patrols come there and it is far enough away from other mobs. Being an engineer, I always use the Shrink Ray on bosses, using it when they enrage. At the same time, I invoke the +haste ability of the Manual Crowd Pummeller. As with other bosses, this finishes them pretty quickly. I didn't find the Glutton very difficult. Cat for five point rip (with Glyph of Rip), then bear, healing as needed. I used a mana pot but didn't run low at the end.

This boss is fairly easy besides the enraging he doesn't do to much dmg, he wanders around the path up to Ammenar

A reference to Gluttony from FMA for sure. It may seem coincidental, but Gluttony's stomach opens up and looks like the Abominations open would thing.
