Rukhmar is an avian sun goddess from Draenor who helped Anzu to slay Sethe. After the Raven Lord faded into darkness, she created the arakkoa to represent her grace and his cunning.

As the mother of the Arakkoa, Rukhmar was their main and traditional deity; her veneration was eventually abandoned in favor of numerous other deities, such as Anzu, Ka'alu and Sethe, and later an unnamed Old God.

Her children associated Rukhmar with their Talon King Terokk, the goddess' chosen: it was thought they were both one and the same. When the arakkoan hero vanished, the believed reason was that the Arakkoa Outcasts had turned from Rukhmar; however, the truth is he went into a world of shadows in order to rejuvenate his weakened body. Thus, it seems unlikely that Terokk and Rukhmar were the same individuals after all.

Saw her today for the first time. Flies around Axefall in Spires of Arak. Has 43331K hitpoints. Just for fun I engaged her to see what happened. She immediately starts spawning Energized Phoenix's approx every 30 second with 787K health.

I got first got hit by Solar Radiation from Ruhkmar for 82K fire-damage. The Phoenix's fixate on you and explode on impact (unknown damage there). They also cast Blaze of Glory (aoe spell) for approx 100K damage if withing 10 yards (approx 50K if further away). Also, this ability ignites Piles of Ashes for more Phoenix's. Rukhmar then cast Solar Breath for 60K+ damage. Dead.

So all in all, call your Nomads, you gonna need everyman you can!

Rukhmar incinerated my face when i was standing in axefall for seemingly no reason, though someone might have shot at her, as she flies really low over the horde outpost... beware!

Nasty bushwhacking NPC! There I was, standing there innocently, contemplating my good fortune after picking up a treasure... when all of a sudden... FLASH and DEAD! A total WTF? moment. LOL to be honest, I figured blizz glitched and tossed me into some dungeon or raid instance or something.

Totally a fair fight.... this guy with 43M hp vs my 190k? LOL Its like the WoD version of a deathwing ambush! (remember, being inside a bank or ah (even an underground one like in tannaris) and getting flame broiled like a hamburger?

Essentially, he 2 shotted me! Which is saying something since i am a tank. lol.

Quite easy to solo as ilvl 832 Vengeance Demon Hunter.
As long as you're able to push her into the air phase before receiving too many stacks of 護甲穿透, you should be fine.

Drops 烈日高山鷹 which according to Rarity should be with insanely low drop rate. 1 in 3000. Boss is 43 Mil HP but doesn't hit insanely hard. Any respectful farming class (excluding rogues, mages etc.) will be able to solo him at some point, maybe around 860 ilvl. It's a lengthy fight if you are solo because there is a flying phase which melees won't be able to damage him so by the time you fight him, someone will probably join the fight and help you. If not just create a group and list in Premade system and someone will come immediately. After all who refuses a shot at one of the rarest mounts in game for free.

As most bosses - once per week loot and bonus roll isn't working for the mount. Mount is looted olschool, from his corpse, so you can do a proper screenshot. She spawns around 35, 36 Spires of Arak but she flies high so just follow her to a lower location and engage. Respawn time i am not yet sure but twice i go there and she is not, the third time she was flying high and was getting beamed by a beam coming from the mountain top with the Arkoa stuff.

Stand in middle of bridge at 34.41,31.41 Spires of Arak.
She flies right over it (and you if you're facing the wrong direction). 110s don't seem to auto-aggro her so you will have to range tag her (to get her love).

Face SOUTH while on the bridge to see her coming from a distance.

This is not her spawn point but very close to it. This is only a point where I saw and engaged her (yes, we're getting married).

3 consecutive sightings 2 consecutive solo kills indicates she seems to pass by (spawn) every 15 minutes or so, but that could change subject to where she is being camped.

Soloed at lvl 110/909 ilvl BM hunter full artifact.

Looted 36 gold on first kill (sigh deeply). No loot second consecutive kill within 20 minutes (she's not the generous type) to confirm she's still a weekly drop mob.

Today was my lucky day! I encountered Rukhmar for the very first time. As a warlock 110 iLv 939 I had equipped 真實寶藏追蹤咒符 instead of my normal necklace - and voilà - first encounter, first kill - looted 烈日高山鷹 My infernal kept Rukhmar engaged so i could fight her adds - so the fight was no big problem.
Thanks to the hint givers, I found the ideal position.

Spawns at almost exactly 36.6, 39.0 at the same height as the platform with centre at 37.5, 37.9
has less than 13 min respawn timer, most likely 10 mins.

Everytime I engaged her this week on different characters she disappeared after landing and then reappeared somewhere else, once at the other side of the hill. Is it just me or has anyone seen this happen as well?

Tameable as of Patch 8.3.0. I have tamed him (it?) last night. Got lucky as there were no other campers around.

First off I recommend going to the Skyreach dungeon and doing this if your high enough level to solo. No camping out and its an easy tame. Your taming Rukhran instead but its the exact same look.

This is a great Hunter Pet. It is very large. The only issue I have with it is if you use it as your second pet as well by taming two and putting one in your first hunter/stable slot when it appears it never stops flying. Even when you are sitting still it will continue to fly and the flapping wings sound starts to get a little annoying after a while. I have also noticed when it fights it seems to be a mile away from the target. It still does all the same graphics as the actual called pet but it does it from very far away. It also flies to you and away from you very slowly, probably half the speed of the original called pet. Only the secondary 1st slot stable version seems to do this. I haven't seen anyone else with this pet on my server and I love it. You can also bring along a matching mount and vanity pet if you like for a full on fire display. Then of course make sure to use your Fire Eaters hearth as well!

for hunters who are lvl 100 who want her at that lvl there is a cliff she flies by near axefall . when you get ready to tame her just shoot her then pop aspect of turtle and hit tame you should have then pretty easy good luck

Not sure if this was the case before Shadowlands pre-patch but as of 9.0.1. she can fly up a bit to cast and if she runs into the texture she become untargetable and after a few seconds after she finishes the channel, she becomes neutral and despawns. 30 - 90 seconds later, she spawns around 100 yard off of her regular spawn behind the small hill (33, 34).

The 15min spawn timer may be out of date. it appears to be significantly longer, minimum of 30 minutes. Though if anyone else has other current experience feel free to comment.

There is no level restriction in using dungeon summoning stone. This opens up ways to use trial accounts to summon your farm toon to places

Rukhmar no longer spawns on the bridge. I camped for 40 minutes before realizing she had already been killed twice after it spawned elsewhere. She now spawns at a few yards away from the platform at /way 37.40, 38.59.

Mount drop rate has been "greatly increased" since the 10.0.2 prepatch. I've seen multiple people get it in a single day. I've been farming on 10 chars and still no luck before or after the increase.

The old World Bosses die in seconds, which sometimes makes it difficult to target and tag them in time. Targetting Rukhmar and Nalak is even more tricky with them spawning in mid-air.
As soon as the boss appears, spam this macro to immediately target and tag them. This covers several (obviously NOT ALL) classes and specializations. If your class/specialization is missing, simply add your own preferred ranged cast to the macro. Happy hunting!

It's possible once again to one-shot Rukhmar. I just watched a Level 60 Troll Priest, who shall remain nameless, do it before others had a chance to tag it.

I think they should add more HP to these world bosses or make them scale with the number of people around them. Even with a /tar macro, they go down so fast (especially this one) that I do not think it would be a big deal if they took a little while to die, at least enough time so that everyone can quickly get a tag in.

Just missed a kill and turned on the stopwatch to check respawn timer and it was still exactly 15min from death. WQ still shows it spawning in wrong location. Spawn is in air above a tall rock at /way 37.40 38.59 .

Dunno you, but the spot at /way Spires of Arak: (43.09, 38.96) is a better option than the one at the ledge high above ground next to it, or the top of some cliff after it, or even the bridge after that too.
Its BEFORE all those, safe fall spot, can tag with pre 20y range stuff, yeah it's near hordie camp, but that exact spot is just outside of it, a good range away from the first guard, if you go and see for yourself.
Rukhmar flies really low there.

I found out recently that Rukhmar is actually female. That tricked me, the name sounds male and the world boss name appears as "Rukhmar, the Sun God (...)". lol

To any current level hunters hoping to tame Rukhmar, do NOT do it when she first spawns by the spire. She won't come to you, and will instead drop to the ground, going out of range before the tame finishes. Going down to the ground without leaving combat (via a featherfall method) will then have you auto-attack her, most likely killing her before you can try again.

I've noticed the in-game Adventure Guide only shows loot for Rukhmar in Normal raid mode. I usually have mine set to Mythic by default, and when I forgot to change it I didn't get loot. Do you need to always be in Normal mode for spirehawk drop?
