This is one of the 14 rare spawns that are located in the Blasted Lands. The rest are listed below on this post. All of the beasts (Clack the Reaver, Spiteflayer, Grunter, Deatheye and Ravage) are tameable by beasts and the carrion bird Spiteflayer has a unique golden vulture skin and is an interesting pet choice due to its uniqueness.

Note, that none of these rare spawns drop any static loot (static meaning that the item is only dropped by one mob, a specific group of mobs or mobs located in a certain area) -- they all drop random world drop green quality (uncommon) items with a fairly high drop rate with the exception of Flawless Draenathyst Spheres and Imperfect Draenathyst Spheres. These items can be turned in for Kum'isha's Junk and Emerald Encrusted Chest respectively. They contain random uncommon/rare/epic items.

Found & killed him at 49.5, 40.4 :) dropped some lvl 50 leather gloves ... nothing awesome :/

At level 56 I got 10328 experience for killing this guy. Quite a good amount, if you ask me. Keep an eye out for this guy when levelling in Blasted Lands.

Fairly simple melee mob with typical Ogre tricks. Does a Bladestorm occasionally that's just like the Warrior version, sometimes applies a Mortal Cleave (MS) that lasts only a few seconds, has a knockback (though not for very far) and Enrages at around 50%.
Dropped a green and a Flawless Draenethyst Sphere for me.

Having killed most of the rares in the Blasted Lands 10+ times, I can say with some certainty that Magronos is easily the rarest (aside from Teremus of course). I'd say Ravage is #2 with Dreadscorn at #3 and all the other rares are a -very- distant fourth.

Akubar, Blackleaf, and Narixxus are very common, but Magronos seems to take around 3x as long as the rest to respawn. The "21-31" hour respawn quoted below seems accurate, but the other rares all got their respawn time upgraded (most of them respawn in around 8-12 hours tops).

Don't be fooled by the large quest chest in his cave; he also sometimes has a silken treasure chest right next to him.
