This guy was sitting in my garrison when I arrived today. When you mouse over him he get's a hand on him. If you use it it says "petting Snowpaw" but nothing else happens. Also, I could only pet him once. The hand on him is still there but when you click it nothing happens.

He's a cutie anyway:)

EDIT: Didn't notice at first but he's following me around now:))

Snowpaw will start visiting your Garrison when his owner, 先遣騎烏魯卡格, passes away after the quest 獵殺古特拉.

Very sad story, but at least you get an adorable wolf follow you around your Garrison, so you got that going for you which is nice..

This is one of several NPCs that you can pet in your Garrison and have it follow you. The only other I am aware of at the moment is 掘土者.

He follows you around however he does not fight for/with you. Acts like a companion pet. Not sure at this time how long he'll follow me around.

When you are able to build the pet menagerie, he stops roaming and you can find him in the back watching over your pets. A very nice touch by Blizzard. I submitted a screenshot of this.

(It's possible this starts at menagerie level 2 - I upgraded right away and didn't notice prior to that).

So I have been walking around my garrison for a while now spamming a target Snowpaw macro and not getting any hits, I checked for the NPC who gives the quest and i have completed it (as i thought).

So can someone tell me where they found him or is he a wanderer? Also is he a permanent resident? (I don't have the pet menagerie but do have garrison lvl 3 if that's relevant)

Edit: FOUND HIM I left my garrison to do a quest came back spammed macro and there he was so he is not a permanent resident it would appear, even with no pet menagerie he seems to hang out by the bales of hay with 掘土者 (screenshot submitted)

At first I thought he was one of the original guy's wolves. I thought maybe he was Durotan's or his brother's, his wife's, his sister's, who knows. I love that they have wolves follow them around. Well, they're all standing around my fire at the moment, so I didn't notice the wolf standing there being anything strange. But then I saw I could pet him. And I recognized the name, and I couldn't remember why. It'd been a few days since I'd been on, so I thought nothing of it.

Ran off my garrison to go do something for a few minutes and come back, only to see Wolfy here run up to me. And I start thinking this is super weird. It's really cute that he likes me, and I'm flattered, but isn't Durotan or someone going to come and give me an axe to the face? So I run further into the garrison, past the fire, and think Snowpaw will stop next to the orcs. However, he runs right up to me. And then it hits me. He was the friend of the orc who dies to the ogres off in the mountains somewhere. And as the orc dies, he howls. And all I can think is, "Poor guy, wonder what will happen to him." And then he shows up in my garrison staring into space. Brought tears to my eyes.

Poor guy, he's more than welcome to follow me around and take a bite out of the Shadowmoon when they show up. :)

This might just be the thing that makes me find one of my long-neglected horde toons and level it up to Draenor. I want a protector for my menagerie! Alliance needs more wolves!

I expect that what Alliance gets that Horde does not is 史奎吉, since he's found in a draenei village.

I think the wolf is cooler. All 史奎吉 does is float around.

Today I started worrying what will become of Snowpaw (and Dog, too!) when we move on to deal with the Burning Legion.

...I immediately went out and tamed a frost wolf and named him Snowpaw. Now Snowpaw will never have to be alone again, even when my hunter leaves Draenor.
