Galgann Firehammer can be quite a challange.

He has to adds which will go down quite fast if you focus DPS one at the time. A good strategy is to get both the adds down first and then kill Galgann. He has a quite nasty fire attack, and does somewhat heavy damage.

Some people far this guy for the gun, and if you want to try that, you should probably use the back door entrance to Uldaman.

This guy used to be a target of level 60 solo farmers, especially enchanters that would kill him repeatedly, disenchant the loots and put the shards/essences/dusts on the AH.

Kill all the other alts in the room (make sure they dont run in fear towards him or this will make things complicated)
If you have 2 tanks send one to each of the sides and have a dps focus on him
If your a hunter and have one tank have the tank attack on and your pet attack the other, have the healer heal your pet while you are also casting "mend pet" and you focus on the main (same for a lock in place of the hunter)
If you have one tank and no lock or hunter just do something to keep one of the sides to prevent him from attacking )

Soloed as a level 46 Troll hunter, pretty easy. Kill the adds, feign death and regen fully. Then just nuke him. It's as simple as that. Got the gun :D

Remember to do drain his mana, 2 viper stings are enough to get him to 0%

I just attempted this guy for the cloak, and 5 out of 6 runs got the Flameseer Mantle. The first run I got the cloak on a different character, but then five runs on another character and got the Mantle every time. At that point the instance wouldn't let me back in, but the drop rate was really disappointing.

Found great way to farm. Requires one level 70. Takes only 3-4 minutes if done correctly.
1) Take 70 (the runner) and whoever wants the drop (the runnee) in the back door of ulda. Just keep the runnee at the little room just in the back door.
2) Use the 70 to kill the elemental. Run through to Galgann without killing anything, have to play a fun little game i call "Avoid the bats"
3) Once you get their pull him. Run back to the room where the runnee is and kill him there. Should only have aggroed around 6-7 dwarves or some bats if you lost the game i mention above.

Just want to point out something that I mention to my group every time and it gets ignored and we usually wipe or almost wipe:

All the humanoids other than Galgann and his two adds RUN. They WILL aggro Galgann unless they're pulled back. This can be frustrating as a healer if you say 'Make sure you pull the mobs back, they run and aggro', then you've healed for around 7-8 humanoids so are at at least half mana, then they aggro boss ;)

Out of the last 6 runs, five times I was ignored and at least 1 person in the group died...and if we had 2/3 clothie dps, we usually entirely wiped.

Me and my friend (level 42 shaman and level 42 paladin) farmed this guy like 5 times today for the mace, but only the back dropped each time. Killed him once yesterday, same thing. I'm gonna try one more time, then I'm gonna quit....
My advice: don't farm this guy for anything else except the cloak....

Managed to solo as 40 ret pally, ave gear.
Used Repentance on 1 add and took out the other 1st. Buffed myself with seal of light, bok, and spammed judgement of wisdom to keep mana up for heals :)

So, after the group disbanded halfway through Uldaman, I decided to give him a shot solo as a 40 warrior (I really want his mace)

Tried him as fury first but switched to prot after a try. Being a NE I used Shadowmeld after the death of each add to reset the encounter. Even on his own he's very tough. If you wanna try this, put on your dps gear and a shield. Otherwise he'll simply outdamage you. And bring a potion. He can't be stunned or interrupted, so you'll have to dodge his novas manually (if you catch too many you will die, and you've got very little time to react). I finally killed him with 15% hp left after blowing all cooldowns (including retaliation after the charge) and some lucky revenge crits

still no mace though :(

Ran this 20 times, got 19 cloaks before getting the hammer. Loot spec was Protection Paladin
