Similarly to many of you going for the Tranquil Master title, this confused the hell out of me trying to find the sha. To start you go to Rensai's Watchpost and get a quest called Buried Beneath from Taran Zhu (54.0,78.0), follow that chain for about 4 quests and you go to the Hawkmaster and back, then unlock 3 quests at once from Taran which lead collectively on to The Sha of Hatred. Hope this helps anyone having trouble with the title.

If you are like me and needed him for the Tranquil Master title, yet hadnt quested much in townlong, then you need to go to the Gao-Ran Battlefront and get all the quests there,(if there arent any quests there follow along until you find the spot youre at) this is the bulk of the questing you will have to do so dont get discouraged it goes downhill. After that, you will travel to the bridge, (its the giant tree going across the Widening Deep) do those quests, then you will go to Rensai's Watchpost, youll have to do 3 or 4 quests before youre asked to go inside the mountain and kill The Sha of Hated, you cant get in the mountain without being on the quest, and the achievement is not completed until you hand the quest in.

Lore information on the Sha for those of you who haven't been reading the quests :)

The Sha originated from the death of an Old God, Y'Shaarj (who is confirmed to be very very dead). In his dying breath he cursed Pandaria with this strange energy - but a pale shadow of his true self, the source of the Sha, and it lay dormant for thousands of years.
There are only six known 'main' sha, though there were seven heads of Y'Shaarj, and similarly the tale is known as the Seven Burdens of Shaohao. This may mean that there is another Sha somewhere.
This is not widely known knowledge, though the Klaxxi have shown they are aware of it.

When Shaohao, the Last Emperor of Pandaria, fought his own fears and doubts and bested each Sha (a temple situated at the sight of each battle) and buried the Sha beneath Pandaria, they began feeding off every harsh word, doubtful thought, hateful expression, waiting. This is why some Sha have greater control in different regions of Pandaria. The August Celestials knew the Sha would eventually be released, and that is why they train their monks in a certain style to deal with the specific Sha buried under their temple.

憤怒之煞 - Defeated and buried at the sight of the Temple of the White Tiger located in Kun Lai.

絕望之煞 - Defeated and buried at the sight of Temple of the Red Crane located in the Krasarang Wilds.

疑惑之煞 - Defeated and buried at the Temple of the Jade Serpent located in the Jade Forest.

恐懼之煞 - Defeated and buried at the current sight of the Niuzao Temple located in the Townlong Steppes. This Sha also has corrupted the majority of the Mantid, including Grand Empress Shek'zeer.

仇恨之煞 - Defeated and buried at the sight of the Temple of the White Tiger located in Kun Lai.

暴力之煞 - Defeated and buried at the sight of the Temple of the White Tiger located in Kun Lai. At some point he is imprisoned by the Shado-Pan, he is eventually freed from his cage and defeated.

Can anyone help me regain the quest? I was killed during the battle and the is no res possibility, so released spirit and COULD NOT GET BACK INTO THE Quest- took the res-sickness, and still cannot regain access to quest- quest giver is not where he was during original storyline- this is the one item I need to acheive all the storyline completions for the Stepps- how can I get it back

Barely quested in Panderia and like the others here, I was also seeking to complete the Tranquil Master achievement.

I went to Gao-Ran Battlefront (flight path goes there, at lower east-ish area of Townlong Steppes).

I picked up all the quests (excluding the one that sends you to Temple of the White Tiger) and followed it through as it progressed me west.

You will briefly bounce around but you will finally be in the area of Rensai's Watchpost and that is when I encountered the Sha of Hatred at the end of the quest line.

Took me about 20-30 mins tops (I feel it was quicker). Was not a bad grind. Best of luck!
