As a mighty level 50 to 60 Horde you probably have wondered where you can go and get some levels to get to 60; while at the same time making some gold on the side. Well you of course you can pick a nice profession and run some instances and quests too but if you can handle a little bit of grinding then head for azshara just north of orgrimmar.

And at around 37, 73 you can find some blue dragonkins. Some being melee some being caster types (mageweavers) These guys are pretty easy to take even though they are elites. They range from level 50 elite to 52 elite. The mageweavers do frost damage and wont melee you unless they run out of mana. The melee ones you can do one at a time at 50 to 55. As long as you take your time! Bring some food and if you use mana then also some mana drink .. No health pots or mana pots because they are too expensive. you can bring some bandages but really not needed.

At first things will drop slow. But keep in mind that as you keep killing these critters things will pick up. Alot of us dont have time to grind them out but on the days when you have nothing else to do and have all day to just do what you want try these guys out for a few hours. They drop between 3silver to 23silver alot of greys worth a 10s up to 3g ... Greens worth 25s to 4g ... a bunch of blues which i have sold on ah for 5g to 50g ... health pots which on my server sell for 5g to 10g for stack of 5 .. I have got two epics already here one of them being the edgemasters gauntlets
and a staff with some defense on it .. dont remember name sorry =( but got more gold from that on ah than the gloves.. And i have been there for about a month off and on. Best overall spot to earn gold. Plus mineral deposits and herbs are all over the area too. Also if you can skin or you bring a skinner then these guys have blue dragon scales and they can sell nice too.

One of the best mobs a mage can grind on around level 50. Just pop your frost ward and wail on them. With dampen magic and frost ward I don't even lose health during fights. Easy 600+ exp per mob at 50. Also, the graveyard and flight path are relatively close and the slightly more challenging melee version of these (Blue Dragonspawn) are mixed in and can be kited while the Mageweavers respawn.

I must say I agree with volvoguy. Soloing these as a 50 shammy. Going great. I mainly stick to the Mageweavers and Dragonspawns. Grinding them for the blue dragonscale + XP. Geat.

I'm curious. Do these guys serve any purpose? Part of any quest? Or are they yet ANOTHER uncompleted part of Azshara?

They are there to protect / explore/ loot / fight for the Blue Drangonflight.

I also believe Azuregos, the lvl 60 raid boss, used to be at their location (near the lake) pre 1.12.

These guys also have a small (0.1%) chance to drop the Azure Dragon Whelping. My druid took 3 hours farming any blue dragon elites in sight to get his. My server has one or two up every week, and sell for 5k on a good day.

I forget how much money and stuff i made, i cant say i found any blues or epics =( But the whelping for poor people can give them some cash in the bank,

I wanna know as a BM hunter is it faster lvling 2 grind these mobs than quest

I went to look for them today and there were none there. There were a lot of really low level creatures and quests around the secret lab but no draconic mageweavers.
