Quick tips for tanking him.

Every 60 seconds he'll summon a pack of Fallen Crusaders. When they melee a target, the apply a stacking dot. It's best to aggro and tank them while the dps aoe them down in a designated spot (this is important later). The debuff is a disease so if you have a paladin or healer priest, the dot shouldn't be an issue at all.
He'll regularly cast 靈魂強風 at you. This can, and should, be interrupted be as often as possible. If/when he casts it, it'll drop a void zone that you have to kite him out of. Eventually, the void zone(s) dissapate.
Evicted Souls attack based on proximity, but they are easily killed by dps.
Empowering Spirits are a pain. When they spawn, they'll move to the nearest Fallen Crusader corpse and raise it as an Empowered Zombie. Before a spirit spawns, drag the boss as far from the designated Fallen Crusader kill point as possible; dps should kill spirits before they get to a corpse. If a zombie is spawned, you're stuck with it the rest of the fight; they have ALOT of health so it's not worth trying to kill them. Just tank them till the boss is dead.
Once boss dies, all the adds despawn. So, even if you are getting overwhelmed by adds, you can still win if his health is low.

Once known as Bloodmage Thalnos, Thalnos the Soulrender is the first boss of the revamped verson of the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard / Citadel area.

Along with Whitemane, he is the only other returning boss from the classic version. He also has a Updated Skin Model based off the Skeleton Magi from Wrath. And has moved outside from his Lair for unknown reasons.
He seems to be leading the assault against the Scarlet soliders that are attempting to combat the undead, too the point of burning them aflame.

He has gotten a higher pitched (yet awesome)voice and a much needed extended loot table. also gaining a few levels then he was originally. Quite happy to see this guy get some love (an or hate from the scarlet). Hes become a favorite of mine in the list of boss's.

Quite easy to solo at level as a prot warrior. Simply kite the boss so you never stand in his Spirit Gale, don't worry too much about the zombies as your Revenge should take them down fairly easily. Take Second Wind and you shouldn't have trouble staying alive and build rage to burn him with Executes at 20%.
