If you /love this critter, it adds towards one of the new Wrath of the Lich King Achievements called "To all the squirrels I've loved before".

I've also found a few in an area on the East coast of Arathi Highlands (92.7, 67.5). This can be reached by going South along the coast from Revantusk Village in the Hinterlands.

Confirmed, Hares and a Ram on the east of Arathi Highlands.

Very easy way to get this (if you are Alliance, or if you are on the Orgrimmar or Battle in Undercity quest from Dragonblight) for Shamans:

Go to Arathi Highlands, north of Witherbark Village (troll village to the south-east, roughly 70,60)
Use Far Sight on the mountains and travel towards the east.
Once you read the water, look around for a small place with some buildings and a harvest field.
When you have found it simply /tar Hare then /love. Even if you are far away, you still get the credit!

Made a tiny movie showing how I did it, unfortunately I did not record the achievement rewarding effect
because I did the trick before I decided to document it, sorry. :) Anyway, here it is!

There is still a way to do this if you're a hunter but have already had the "phasing" of Duator completed. You will need to use "Eyes of the Beast" but you can control you pet and actually /love both the hare and the swine. Other than that you will not be able to see them from that far away.

You will need to get right on the coast of the Barrens and then use eyes of the beast to get your pet into Durator.

If you are'nt a shaman or hunter, and cannot see the critter because you are on the quest "Fate, up against your will", just get yourself a "potion of water walking", travel to the Hinterlands, go east until you hit the shore, then turn south and ride down along the coast to find the farm.
There's also a stable with some Rams nearby.

Strangely, it is fun to watch lvl 1s trying to run around and kill all of these npcs in sight. Sometimes they miss :)

If you are doing the Achievment to /love this critter, this is an easy one to get.

When your doing the critters in Borean Tundra, take the horde blimp transport from Warsong Hold to Durotar! easy. and then take it back to Borean.

Alliance can do this aswell. but getting back may not be as easy (fly ontop of the blimp in borean).

Since this is such an important mob, I felt the need to post a comment on another location they can be found at.

The hidden Dwarven farm on the cost of Arathi has the odd hare running around with the farmers.

Oddly enough, with a water walking potion (or Path of Frost) it might actually be faster to go there than Durotar. :P

Follow the path from the Orgrimmar main enterance down to Razor Hill.
Have a /target hare macro ready.
I found mine mid path. I thought I'd have to search far but that was not the case.

I think Durotar is glitched. No mater which toon (alliance side only), whenever I go looking for the darn hare there is not a single NPC in the whole zone.

CONFIRMED. If Durotar seems to have no critters in it, it's either a game bug or the area is "phased" due to a quest or raid going on.

If this happens to you, go to the Hinterlands and head east to Revantusk village.

From the village, swim/walk south along the coastline until you reach Arathi Highlands.

On the shore, with it's back literally to the cliff walls, you will find a small, unnamed village with a dwarf or two wandering around.

/target Hare while walking around the fields and you will be ready for some /love.

I just found one in Durotar, without having any quests or anything weird like that. It was on the road going from Orgrimmar to Razor Hill, close to Orgrimmar. Hope that helps!

I can also confirm that there are a couple of Hare's at the far eastern part of Arathi Highlands. I flew there when I was looking for the closest location for the Ram's and happened to see one. The coords are: (89.2, 67.1)

Found the hare on the east coast of AH, The Forbidding Sea. 85.96/78.10. It is sitting in the northern most field near the scarecrow.

Just /loved a Hare in the Hinterlands, across the main east-west road from the Zun'Watha ruins. No trip to the coast needed, no mobs to kill. 8.0.1.

For All the squirrels, both achievements, Loved and Shared you can find: Cat, Hare and Ram on the shore in Arathi Highlands on the eastern coast. When you get to Arathi H. if you are marked PvP you are in "present day". You cannot find any critters on the shore unless you travel back in time. On the map you will see the white chat bubble at the exit to the Wetlands, bottom center of map. Click on the NPC Zidormi to travel back in time then you'll see the critters on the shore line area when you get there. The Cat is on the dock and the Ram is in the little building that is a pen for animals. The Hare are scattered along the shoreline. Getting three in one spot made my day.

I had to go to Zidormi and go back to the old Arathi to see the hares in the east of Arathi. Thought this might help others!

Speak to 茲多米 to timetravel back to pre-BfA Arathi Highlands before you fly to the shore, because that area in BfA Arathi Highlands is empty.
You can find here /love-able 貓, 山羊 (yes, it's a beast, but it counts), 野兔 and also 老鼠 for 害蟲控管.
