Keep him dotted and don't let voidwalker die. Be ready to Sacrifice minion if he nears death. Create two healthstones, a level 1 and 2 and have them on action bar or something. Soulstone yourself.

A stupid Razormane Stalker pat walked by not once but twice, going in between me and my vw. Luckily he didn't aggro, but had to break off the Health Funnel and back up to stay out of aggro range. VW came close to death b/c of that, finger was on Sacrifice keybind, but Hagg died first.

Eez-mode with lvl 26 frost mage.

Frost nova, blink, frost bolt frost bolt, cone of cold - rinse and repeat.

No pot or anything needed, but as stated earlier, clear a little around him.

According to the official Warcraft Atlas, this mob is rated as Uncommon rarity with a respawn timer of ~5-8 hours.

Solo'd as a 24 Shaman.
Pop'd totem of Strength, Searing Totem and Healing Stream Totem, enchanted weapon with Rockbiter and kept Lightning shield and flame shock up all the time.

Only used one lesser mana potion to replenish my mana mid combat and popped one heal spell. He doesn't hit that hard at all, just has alot of hitpoints.

Level 23 hunter,pet was a crab,turned off Growl,kited him up the road easy.

Loot was Superior Boots of the Owl.Kinda lame,but I dinged 24 doing it so yay me.

Soloed as 22 druid. Quite hard, I got a lot of resists/miss, and the roots are breaking early. Fun :)

For an elite he doesn't actually hit that hard. Unfortunately, he frequently pulls adds with him, and hamstrings you if you try to pull him to a safer location.

If you're fighting him be especially careful of stealthed stalkers around you. They could turn a relatively straightforward one on one into a three or four on one beating.

For someone named Hagg Taurenbane, he didn't seem very effective against any level 80 taurens. I'll update as I continue research.
