They're a new type of Spider coming with Beth'ilac on Heroic mode.

Basically, they're kamikaze spiders, which will detonate upon reaching their target (or, the one before them) with Volatile Burst.
Have « soakers » stand in line with where they come, so they will take the blast and not the Raid group (which will be positionned in the center).

In addition to Aprune's comment, the quantity and locations of spawns depend on the raid size.

In 10man heroic, the broodlings spawn from the same location as the pack of cinderweb spiderlings spawn. You will get 4 of them per group of spiderlings. So whoever is assigned to kill the spiderlings, should also aim to soak these adds by intercepting them as they run to their fixated raid member.

In 25man heroic, it is similar in that you'll get four of these with each spawn of spiderlings, however, all three normal lanes will spawn spiderlings around the same time, so you'll want a soaker for each line, which is ideally the same person that is aoe'ing the spiderlings.

The ideal soakers are Boomkins and Hunters, as they both have slows (fungal growth and frost traps) for the spiderlings. Its important to note that the volatile burst does significant damage, and they will need the raid healer(s) to prioritize them when they soak an add over other raid members on the bottom.

Furthermore, the spiderlings are typically dead at around the 3rd broodling spawn, so on ten man, if the dps needs to move to the next spawn point, but the fourth broodling hasn't spawned, having the raid healer soak one is a pretty ideal solution as they will typically be closer to the soaker anyway, and just outside your raid stack anyway. Its imperative to keep these things blowing up outside of the raid stack, and one making it through and hitting 4-5 people can easily be a wipe.
