He indeed does not save the raid. He doesn't do THAT much damage either, but he spawns adds that split when killed, which can overwhelm your raid fast.

~~He also dropped a epic recipe for us, but we only went for him once, so i can't say if he does it all the time. Will come confirm it later when i can :)~~

Ensure the adds that are spawned, are stunned before dying/right when they die. This prevents them from multiplying and inevitably causing a wipe.

Kar the Everburning was the name of a random Firelord hero unit from Warcraft 3.

Tank and spank. Drag him away from volcanos. The little fire guys will split if you kill them without them being stunned. Once the fight is over you can leave the area and they will vanish.

Note that Kar does have a higher chance to drop patterns than other trash mobs in Firelands.

The Lava Spawns that are summoned during the fight with Kar will despawn if they remain out of combat for a certain duration.

If you wipe because something went wrong or you got overwhelmed, and someone can revive themselves, just wait for the Spawns to despawn (no pun intended) and you'll be able to ressurect the group without having to go through it all again.

So much loot on loot table... Yet, I've never seen him drop anything, not even a copper..

This caught me off guard- if you're solo'ing this place on a caster, this guy has a 16 second instant cast silence that can really be a pain. I got around it by dragging another mob up there and building Arcane Charges to make sure I one shotted him, because that silence is super annoying.
