Wowhead has only seen this trash immediately before Ragnaros looted six times, so there is far too little data for accurate information.

Compare this to the left by successful Ragnaros kills, which Wowhead has seen looted 663 times. It's still not a lot of data, but the discrepancy in number of times looted is enough to conclude that the NPC on this page often doesn't contain any loot.

I can confirm that this guy and his cohort are trivial to solo for a normal 10-man instance, demonology warlock level 92, 526 ilvl *IF* you plunk your minion right in front of the Molten Eruptor and take this one on yourself. At a distance, the long range attacks will simply kill you. Up close, they're dead easy, surprisingly so. Sacrificial Pact is a great hot button, but I didn't need it for these guys, and only twice for Ragnoros himself.

these are currently bugged in live. On 25 man, they hit for 35k+ a hit. They were not nerfed for the gear squish. Also you are able to skin them up until 600+ skinning and maybe further (which is WOD quality leather). Its a 50% chance you will get a skill up from one of them.
