This npc is a possible (Alliance-only) guardian when performing the quest 海加爾的保護者. He is also one of the ones required to /wave at for the achievement 咦...我們見過嗎?. You can wave at someone else's guardian, he does not have to be your guardian in order to count for the achievement.

Background:
Thassarian is the first Death Knight to rejoin the Alliance. He appears in the Death Knight starting area, and in Borean Tundra and Icecrown in Northrend. After the Shattering, he then shows up again in Andorhal in Western Plaguelands.

I've been farming this since the 4.2 patch and i still haven't seen him. This is the last thing i need to complete the achieve. Seems like i'll never get it.

Hmm, I've done 熔岩前線進攻部隊 twice, yet i've only seen Thassarian once. Now I have one character missing one lieutenant and one character missing Thas.. Considering how long it's from the launch of 4.2, not too many are doing those dailies anymore.. Just gotta hope the RNG favors me someday and I get him myself, but that requires him not being Alliance-bound..

Finally found him on whim..

I had mankrik spawn for me today.. so i was just assuming that certain npc's spawn on certain days..

like the horde only spawn mankrik spawns when the alliance only thassarian spawns.. and well my hunch seems correct..

also.. npc scan is awesome, it basically screamed at me when thassarian was near!

I've been waiting for this guy for ages now, just need to /wave to him to get the achievement + title!

No luck whatsoever, literally sat in Sethria's Roost for hours so far and he hasn't popped up - yet I've seen two Mankrik's :(

I had just got off from a conversation from a gm and the gm cannot confirm that if he would spawn on the horde side. Attached below is the conversation between me and the gm.

Thassarian is indeed alliance only, but all is not lost. The second an ally completes the quest that spawns him The Protectors of Hyjal. He should be visible to any character in the area so he can be waved at ^_^

ive been doing these dailies for a very long time now and ive only seen 1 ally doing the daily although he did have chromie with him its not likely imma find thassarian luckily i dont need the title as much as i need the mount lol, eh ive added him to npcscan so that may make it easier if i get lucky on blackrock

Haha, after several days of non-afk farming my NPC-Scan finally got hold of him! Unfortunately I was just paying a visit to the bathroom and I missed him... When I came back I had one of those moments where you just want to throw your PC against the wall, be mad for the entire day and then be sorry. I guess we just cannot get a break. ^.^

Doing this achievement in 4.3 is hell!

Later Edit: Found him a second time today (23 apr 2012), this time I was there and able to salute him! Finally done, good luck hunting!

Edit: I myself can not confirm this though. He spawned for me the day after I talked to the GM. He was protecting an alliance player. Best thing to do imo, is camp him for the busiest questing hours of the day, which may vary from server to server. Eventually, you'll get lucky.
