This seems to be a ghostly follower that accompanies you in the Stranglethorn Vale quests for the new Rise of the Zandalari content. She follows you through the whole thing (so far for me anyways I haven't finished it yet) and here's a fun fact: Bwembas that follow players of the other faction will attack you even though you can't see them. I thunderclapped near an Alliance to kill a quest mob to find out Bwemba was hitting me for decent amounts of damage. They thought it was funny. There seems to be 2 versions of this on wowhead so I assume the other one is for the opposing faction.

If Bwemba disappears on you, try leaving Stranglethorn Vale and returning (it only happened for me when I passed through a loading screen, simply flying over into another zone and then right back didn't do the trick). Either run into Zul Gurub and then leave, or take the Zeppelin to Orgrimmar/Undercity. When you return, she should be there.

Does she get in the way of clicking on mobs/nodes/archaeology/everything for everyone else too, or does she just like me so much as to be close enough to breathe down my neck if she weren't spiritwalking?

She seems to be worse than any Demon/Ghoul/Hunter pet in that respect. That was one of many reasons I dislike the entire quest chain.

Someone on wowhead has been on a downrate kick, so please dont downrate this, tho it may seem obvious to some =P

Ive abandoned the quest chain at this point & am not finding a way to get it back. Does anyone know a way to get it back? Thanks much in advance!

& Yes, i also had some choice words for how "in my face" Bwemba was! Which was a main point of me abandoing the chain! lol It was beyond annoying but now i wanna finish it lol

The quest chain finsihes at Vol'jin in Booty Bay.

You can pick up that final quest of the chain Making Contact at the Explorers' League Digsite: Stranglethorn.

I was just flying from SW to BB, way up, and Bwemba turned up, standing on thin air, and keeping up with. Surprised me no end.

You have to complete a series of SIDE stranglethorn quests. After finding Maul the brother, and killing some serpents and curing people, you're eventually sent to Booty Bay to report. IT's there, after listening to the NPC's talk, that you complete Bwemba's Spirit.

This NPC starts a quest chain that is annoying to complete but will reward you with a battle pet. Here's the details.

The quest starts at Hero's Call Board in either Stormwind or Orgrimmar and will send you to the docks, where you will find a troll named Bwemba. If you do not have a quest at the board, just go straight to the docks and she will give you the quest. Her location is here for Alliance, and here for Horde.

Many comments here seem to indicate that this quest is terribly bugged, but it's not. It's just that people are trying to complete it without doing the 17 quests in the secondary chain. The Bwemba's Spirit quest will complete if you're standing near someone else when they do it, so it causes people to think that if they just stand near Baron Revilgaz long enough, the bug will eventually go away and they can complete it. Really, it's just coincidence that someone else turned the final step in while standing next to you.

A lot of people only want to do this quest chain to get the 獵豹寶寶 pet, but if you stop once you've received the cub, Bwemba's annoying spirit will nag you for eternity. To get rid of her, complete the whole chain. It literally takes just a few minutes if you're level 90.

This will make your life easier - run this script to see which of the secondary quests you have completed, and finish this chain. This script is long, so use an addon like Paste to be able to paste the entire script without breaking it up into smaller pieces.

In 2025, if you lose Bwemba during the Hideaway quest, she is now in Orgrimmar over in the Valley of Spirits. If you are facing the Embassy you would turn right, follow the walkway down past the Nighthold Portal to the first hut on your left and she is there in front.
