He actually has three parts where his phase is different. One is his human form, he walks around the square area and has a buff that gives him insane health regeneration.

His second form is the a bit down the quest line for that area. He is now in dragon form and flies around the same area. You'll come a crossed him while doing a quest that involves sabotaging barrels of explosives. You'll be cloaked and can easily get around the human mobs there but not the dragon. He'll easily spot you and break the cloaking. Take care not to get caught because him chasing you plus the human mobs can be rough to out run. He is stunnable though, I don't know about slowing though.

His third change will, again, further down the quest line. This time he'll be flying around again but his health will be reduced from taking damage with your previous quest. At this point you have no reason to go around him or even kill him through a quest. There is however, the quest item he drops. Grab a small group and take him down to get the item and finally have your revenge on this annoying dragon.

He is also hexxable for all you shamans. Helps alot if he gets too close. but i killed him just the way Xeaa did. Flame shock, frost shock, etc. Use both eles if you need.

I soloed it with a rogue in heroic blue gear.
You'll need:
- a thrown weapon;
- some crippling poison;
- tons of time.

Finding some mates to kill him will probably be a lot quicker.

Soloable as an 85 Shadow Priest. Originally, I had a hard time kiting (DoTs + Inner Will + Physic Scream + ShadowFiend + etc.) around the center obelisk, since he always seemed to Evade when I took a corner too sharp.

Then I realized he's tagged as humanoid... /facepalm

DoT's + Mind Control FTW (unless he gets tagged as a Dragonkin in the near future)

As a feral druid (bear) I was having trouble with him - all my abilities seemed to hit for about 1/5 their usual damage.

Killable with all classes that can kite.

Bring him to 25% total HP and he should move slower (I think at 75% - 80% if 100% represents you normal run speed).

Before the 25% HP mark I was able to outrun him with my feral druid (cat, 130% speed) but not with my shadow priest using inner will (unbuffed, 110% movespeed). So his movespeed above 25% HP should be 115% or 120%.

If you kite him to the southern underground entrance and then start kiting him around the edges he even slows down a little more because of the way he moves around those edges.

Tanking is only an option if you've got anyone helping you.
The incoming damage is quite high. On my shadow priest with only his clot armor, shadowform not used (no 15% damage reduction from that for SCIENCE!) he hit me for 11-13k melee and 9k with his Black Cleave. Also his Rupture Line is extremtly deadly. You really shouldn't try to tank him without a healer supporting you.

Let me also explain the way he does damage: As soon as you are near enough (15-20y) he uses his blast wave to extremely slow you. The slow is not dispellable. As soon as he can melee you he'll do 3 things: use his strong auto attack, black cleave (with a weak dot) and the deadly rupture line ability which does massiv amounts of damage. When staying out of melee range he'll only shoot a fireball at you from time to time (using the same frequency) and otherwise nothing.

The area he runs around doesn't give you many options. Basically you can just run around. There are no spots that you can reach easily while the NPC's pathfinding takes the long way. Neither are there places where you can trick pathfinding so that the NPC basically doesn't move around much.

I personally tried a different tactic as an elemental shaman, involving both elemental totems, bloodlust and a helluva lot of burst, but I nailed it on the first try. I didn't even have to heal my elementals to keep them alive, both were above 20% health when I finished (even though his cleave hit me for ~ 20k).
Just spam GHW when you get below 50k til you're at about 80k and continue bursting. If you get close to dying, use Thunderstorm to get some time for healing. I didn't find hex necessary, but I'm sure it might help a little bit to lose some aggro and gain time for healing as well.

*edit* - Clarification

*2nd edit* with the "new" glyph of unleashed lightning, kiting him with a combo of frost shocks and earthbind totem could definitely prove an easier tactic.

This guy is actually pretty easy to kite as a Ret paladin. Long Arm of the Lawl on cooldown, exorcism when you're at max range, do this for a while until you can add Hammer of Wrath in as well.
I just ran around in a square around the pillar in the middle of the area he is in and never took damage once, though I did have to stun him once to get away.

Just solo'd this guy as level 85 Resto Druid. Took around 15 mins, judging from using Innervate three times and taking time before needing to use them. I had few jp equipment though but nothing too good as Resto is my offspec. I kited him around the pillar in a tight circle, using Entangling Roots to stop him moving. Be warned though and stay at good distance off him since Entangling Roots can miss. Otherwise you shouldn't have any problems.

Blood DK doesn't need to kite to solo this guy, just stand up in his grill and beat him down. I never went below 85% health or used any cooldowns other than bone shield. I didn't even bother avoiding his faultline ground effect; it didn't hit for much. No stress.

He does have some sort of buff causing you to do less damage, though. I only did like 3.5k DPS, so it took ~3 minutes to eat through his health.

Pretty handy to do this as an afflict warlock. Keep Curse of Exhaustion up (This will keep you out of range of his snare, should your demon die - this will also allow you to quickly resummon without him getting in your face), and keep Haunt and your DOTs refreshed. If you do this right, he won't get in melee range once.

This is fairly easy as an 85 shadow priest and can probably be done at 82-83. First round you'll want to start out with VT, then DP and SW:P. Cast mind control, run him to max distance and let them tick down. I typically let the entire MC run so that you can replenish more mana in between MC's. If a shadow orb happens to pop due to SW:P then when MC breaks hit him with a mind blast and then use DP and SW:P so that you can take advantage of empowered shadows. If you walk backwards while laying down the DoT's before casting MC again, he'll never touch you. If you run low on mana drop some DoT's, use dispersion, and then fear as soon as it wears off. Reapply DoT's while he's feared, and rinse and repeat. You should take very little damage, and if you do it'll be easily healed through DP and VE. It should take you only about 4 or 5 minutes and the reward is 25g and some decent gems you can use or AH(Inferno Rubies currently go for 180g on my server).

I've read the comments below that says that this doesn't work. I tried it again, and as of today this still worked for me. It's probably due to lower levels resisting the MC, mob's level/distance from controlling priest/resistances of target. The higher level you are, the less likely that the mob will break the MC, although it is possible for a MC to break at any moment.

Hmmm, no posts from mages eh? I decided to experiment and went toe to toe... got close to downing him, he didn't have much left when I bought the farm.

Then I simply scorched him to apply the 5% crit debuff, popped mirrors to tank him, blinked away and wailed on him (the whole rotation, Pyro, Balls, Orb, Combustion, Living Bomb). Easy peasy, down he went, still had half my health.

Oh, 37.16 second fight.

A shame this isn't a daily...

Don't kite too far away! If you step even a little out of threat range he will heal and fly away. Also, when I did it I also remained in combat even though it said I left combat. That's probably a bug but watch out.

if you are a rogue and you did the quest for fear and vengeance, this should be cake for you, same sort of mechanics apply.. he just doesn't have so many abilities. kite him around and use self healing. e.g. bandages or an ability like recuperate or frenzied regen. use stuns whenever you can. use cc when needed.

If you finish the quest 造物主罩氅, Myzerian will be flying around the obelisk, with a third part of his total hp, making him easy soloable
PD: He did not take any other forms, rather than the dragon one... so I'm guessing that maybe he got nerfed since MoP

To start the quest, you have to kill Myzerian. Do it when he is on the ground or you will not be able to reach for the loot if he is up in the air. ( possibly a bug)

He is no longer killable. I got him down to 2 health and could not finish him off.
