I tried to /chicken it, checking if it could be obtained as a pet.
After 2 minutes of spamming my macro, i gave up. No ash chicken can be obtained as of now.. hopefully in the future?

edit: are used for a quest where you pick 'em up and put them in your bags. you can do a drive by on your mount to achieve this

this is such a cute and awesome chicken :)
I'm happy I'm doing loremaster again so I can see all things in the game! It's a shame 99% of the players never seen this awesome ash chicken. wish i could have him as my pet!

Still laughing as I post this. I was farming Firebloom and Mithril ore in Searing Gorge when I saw this giant chicken... I stood there trying to figure out what this "thing" was when suddenly a spider went for the chicken and she started fleeing doing the most funny noises I ever heard in WoW. Although I've felt sorry for the poor thing I'm still laughing
