You can't even fly by this guy. I accidentally got chain hooked into him, tried to fly away, another instant chain hook, then again, then again, then again, then dead. Never actually had a mob you weren't even able to run away from. :/

Now that I'm 90, every time I fly by the Twilight Highlands I make sure to stop and pay this guy a little visit. Payback for all the times he's gotten his hooks into me, ya know? *Evil cackle*

Well that was great. I was arching and saw this guy. I tried to avoid him but an alliance death knight didn't think I should. Death gripped me right in and never had a chance.

If you try to LoS him or anything, he'll just spam that chain on you, hits for 30k or so a pop, I was dead in seconds.

If you find yourself chained down by this guy, then simply let yourself come close to him, If you can survive some chains, you might want to try getting close without dismounting, that will trigger his whirlwind which gives you time to fly away. If you don't have epic flying then good luck with this guy :P

Why can't other escort quest learn from this guy? remember the painful escort quest that is either slow or just aggro everyone and die...this guy reverse it! he is fast, he aggro everyone and he kills everyone (Curious what part he need help in a escort) and he bring fear to horde that flies to close

As others have mentioned, Blizzard might have positioned one or two of the Archaeology dig sites a little too close to this fella. Add that to the slow phasing that often occurs due to latency or whatever and you might be swingin' that pickaxe for the 2nd or 3rd time before Cayden materializes out of thin air less than 10 yards away and you get chain-snatched (if you are Horde). However...

It was exactly because of this that I discovered his TRUE purpose in the game:
To provide the Horde with a real-world, living & breathing Level 85 Elite Training Dummy that actually fights back!

See, personally I don't like to be watched at the dummies when playing around with my shot rotation or trying different things. Mostly because of that guy who always hangs out by the Training Dummies so he can tell you how much of a baddie you are. You know the guy I'm talking about. Well, you won't find him out at Dunwald Market Row and good ol' Cayden cheerfully respawns almost instantly after you slaughter him. So while it's not as good as a Raid-Level Dummy, it's somewhat secluded -- and it's definitely more fun to spar with something that fights back!

He is a tough one i killed him on my disc priest took a while but never got through shield.... I would advise avoiding him at all costs.

Happened across this fella while doing the Vulpera unlock quest. He is hostile to horde players, but he is not PVP flagged.

He also respawns instantly, and, at level 70 in Dragonflight, is easily one-shotted. In case you want to eternally torment him out of revenge.
