Seems like he's wearing a different version of the Driftmire Shield (泥潭盾牌). The Driftmire Shield is like :-o while the shield that Tarak's wearing is like ^_^ or something like that...

It's very unusual to find a Forrest Troll using the old Troll model, especially since this NPC was added after the new Forrest Troll models were created. Perhaps Tarak wasn't a true Forrest Troll, but covered himself in moss.

This mob spawns every 20-30 seconds. I killed this guy 100 times trying to get the alchemy recipe: swiftness potion to drop. Sadly, it did not but I did get 61 linen cloth, 36 woolen cloth, and 14 green items.

From the screenshot it looks like he's holding a yak-shaped mace (which would have been odd, given how yaks weren't implemented until the next expansion). I thought it looked cool (cute), so I decided to try find the model. Turns out it's actually a shriveled head :(
