You can find Gorgonite at 47,27.

Required to kill for the quest Rock Bottom given by Kor the Immovable.

He casts Petrifying Gaze (disruptable, and easy to avoid with a 5 second cast time plus a raid-like warning ("Gorgonite's eyes begin to glow! Take cover quickly!"). Also, while fighting him, a Son of Kor comes to your "aid" by throwing boulders at the two of you. Make sure to aim your camera so that you have a view of the helpful rock so that you can get out of the way when he fires a boulder in your direction.

Gorgonite, along with almost all other basilisks, is now tameable. His colour, white with an orange crest, is unique to him.

You'll want to be quick on the tame, however. A Son of Kor will show up and attempt to "help" you by throwing boulders, which can disrupt the tame (if you're unlucky and standing in the wrong spot) and kill the basilisk.

This mob CAN be tamed. Glyph for tame beast. Attempt to tame him once and let the son of Kor spawn and kill him. When he respawns wait until he is the furthest away from the son of Kor. You will be able to get the tame off this time.

After he dies the first time and the son of kor is there, position yourself along the cliff to the south of the spawn point (make sure it's not too far of a drop!). That way, when the son of kor "helps" you the impact sends both you and Gorgonite over the cliff. Found it was much easier to tame him once you were both off the cliff!
