I went to tame one of these beauties tonight on my level 49 hunter to match the white one I tamed in Gilneas.

Just a warning to other hunters, when these guys target a critter and run off to kill it, don't start taming. It causes some kind of bug where they evade.

I did manage to tame one, but had to move on from the first target I had.

This fox is fairly simple to get, even for horde at level 20. Take a blimp into Northern Stranglethorn, and head north on the road. Once you get to Duskwood, head west to the river, and take a swim to avoid most to all npc interactions. Once you get to Redridge, climb the hills to the north of the road. There is a path through there, and you can avoid the checkpoint. Drop into the lake after the gnoll camp and swim across to the landing in the northwest side, where all the murlocs are. This will allow you to avoid all the camps. From there, you'll be able to find one of these beauties easily.

If you want to go over land in Duskwood, stay off the roads! There are a lot of tagged npcs patrolling them. There's also enough baddies in the area that you probably aren't going to save a whole lot of time.

I just did this on my level 21, and only died once because of a watcher at the first crossroad in Duskwood. I hope this helps any one wanting to try it on their own.

For anyone seeing these guys leap at bunnies and eat them: Not to worry; they only crunch critters, not pokemon. Hunt for your super-special shiny white Mountain Cottontail in peace. Anything you can catch will never get eaten.
