~~If you attack a Silithid Searcher and a Hive Drone is nearby, it will rush to help.~~ (EDIT2: I was wrong.) (EDIT3: Sorry guys, but I just found out it is true, but only if you're quite close to one, e.g. on one of their walking paths.) But I can walk past a drone without anything happening.

EDIT: Be warned, the drones can also be alarmed if they aren't in the mine itself, but higher up. They just come running down, and you find yourself facing 4 chaps.

In essence, this NPC HAS BEEN REPLACED in the game due to major area changes in Cataclysm. =^)

His area is now DEEPLY underwater, and many have been eliminated by the floods (Halo reference y'all!). The old dead ones might still seen at the bottom of the old Salt Flats until then (haven't checked).

They have been replaced by other silithids with some that fly and swim.
