I farmed these tonight for a hour and got only three http://www.wowhead.com/?item=5470. I suggest you don't farm that from these. I did get like 5 greens though, so it wasn't such a waste of time.

At level 40 they were easy kills, but far a part and slightly difficult to get to at times. i only saw them in a group of two or three twice the whole time.

To find them, look up.

There are 12 spawn points in the small area where they are shown on the map. I will upload my looter data and that should help pin all the points down, but basically they all spawn against the rocky 'foothills' along the Webwinder path and circling the small meadow (greatwood vale/boulderslide ravine).

I had no problem looting 2 stacks of the lizard tail in a very short time; as soon as I would complete the loop of spawn nodes, they have respawned. Quest NPCs tend to respawn very quickly.

I don't know why you had such difficulty in finding them...they respawned so quickly for me I often had 3-4 bodies piled up per spawn point before the dead despawned...would have been great for a leather worker....

Edit...ahhhh I think i see the trouble. There are only 2 spawns in Grimtotem camp, and 2 spawns in Camp Aparaje. If this is where you were looking then yes..you would only come across the 4 of them. Go hunting for them back up on Webwinder Path where it will say on your minimap that you are in Greatwood Vale and just about into Boulderslide Ravine for the 12 spawns and none of those Grimtotem NPCs being annoying and in your way.

Or make a big circuit of all 16 spawn points in the area for maximum food. And bring your leatherworker friend.
