She and her ram guard the path that leads from Loch Modan to Searing Gorge. In order to get the key to the path, first you must be alliance. Second, kill Margol the Rager in Searing Gorge (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=5833) and bring his horn to Pebblebitty. She won't believe you, and you'll be sent to the Curator in Ironforge to obtain proof of Margol's demise. The Curator will recognize the horn and validate your claim. He will give you Proof of Margol's death to be given to Pebblebitty, and voila, you have your key.

There is an easter egg associated with Mountaineer Pebblebitty. She is quite rude and if you /rude her back Blizzard has added an appropriate response :)

quickest way to her is to fly to thelsemar then hit the road south/southwest. she's near the zone's edge.

Are you mad? Do you know what manner of beast inhabit that place? The worst that can happen is that we'll have to scoop up your remains with a shovel. We've lost some good dwarves to those awful monsters.

So the answer is no. If you're bent on getting to the Searing Gorge, you'll have to find another way.

I shouldn't even be telling you this but if you can make it past all the critters and beasties in Badlands, you might be able to make it to Searing Gorge.

Yes, the Badlands. There's some kind of back road the orcs paved near Kargath. Just goes to show what kind of fools we're dealing with here! A backdoor to hell? What were they thinking?

I'll tell you what. Since you fancy yourself the hero type, if you can make your way through the Badlands to the Searing Gorge and bring me back something to prove your heroics, I'll see what I can do about getting you a key.

In the southeasternmost corner of Searing Gorge is a lady almost as tough as me, Margol the Rager. Maybe you should investigate.

I thogut she was a player when i first started playing and had a 30 minute conversatin with her about online manners.

She still reacts to /rude and /flex but is no longer interactive, since the door is gone. Everyone can use the passage now.

I killed the lizard in Searing Gorge while mining. The quest line was still green at 53 so I followed the advice here and got my key to Searing Gorge. It's still active in Classic so hunt for the electric lizard and he will show all
