I heard that the two vendors are a reagent one, and one that can repair items.

Edit : Confirmed. Goblin repair guy, and Troll reagent vedor for horde. Appear to be hostile (non attackable) to alliance, and friendly to horde with no faction to reduce costs on items / repair.

Was in barrens and he jumped in guildie's Mechano-hog. No clue what triggered it but was active and everything.

Saw him in Tol Barad Horde-place. today about 10min ago. he was sitting on one of 2 seats of a mammoth, with a vendor on the other seat. Didnt have time to click him before he said "this friendship is over!" jumped off, the mammoth (prolly a player) disappeared, and then the vendor and drix disappeared. Weird... but cool

There's a weird glitch that happens when you try to vendor something to this guy when the player is dismounting. The thing or things you are trying to vendor wont sell, but they with become grayed out and you can't interact with them. The items continue to take up bag space, and to my knowledge there is only one thing you can do: get more of that item to drop.
For example:
I tried to sell 硬化甲殼 x 11 to drix as I was dismounting from the traveller's tundra mammoth. I did not receive money, and the item became grayed out and impossible to interact with. I went to the area next to me and killed a moth to get 1 硬化甲殼 Upon receiving the loot, the good item added to the stack and unlocked it.
I don't know what would happen if this problem occurred while trying to vendor a non-stackable item or a unique item. The only glitched I have experienced were with trash, cloth, and bandages.
Anyway, try not to find out by being cautious with your use of despawning vendors! =P
Edit: It only worked once, but zoning in and out of firelands appeared to fix it.

Just realized that Drix' faction is only "Friendly" for me. Double checked by looking at repair cost between him while mounted on my Traveler's Tundra Mammoth and then with the Orgrimmar blacksmith with whom I am Revered. Yes, the cost was significantly different. Exalted BS charged half (roughly) what Drix charged. So... while the Mammoth and Drix are very useful,... Buyer Beware! You can save money by waiting to repair with a Blacksmith from a faction you're revered with. Not sure if there's a way to raise faction with Drix or not. Sales price of Vendor trash was no different between the two btw.

Just a quick comment for anyone who saw this name pop up on your mini-map each day and racked your brains on where it came from. This is one of the vendors on the repair mount that is sold in Dalaran, so if you are tracking repair vendors on your mini-map and another player has the mount and is riding by, he will track as moving. Took me quite a bit to find that out, I am dense I know.. lol.

Drix Blackwrench is one of two Horde vendors that come preloaded with a three person mammoth mount, the . He can repair as well as sell reagents and poisons. Users can interact with him so long as he is still mounted on the mammoth. You do not need to be in a group with the player to interact with the mount NPC's.

So far it looks like Drix and his alliance counterpart Gnimo are the only mount vendors that sell (some of the) Shadowlands reagents. Longboi and transmog mount don't seem to have any Shadowlands mats.
