My server Dragonblight reset, and I was in Temple City of En'kilah, finishing up this quest Buying Some Time, and when I went outside the city by the hut on the lake, I saw Icehorn.

I wasn't sure if I could solo him, but he was really easy as a Fire mage (Level 71).

He dropped Mammoth-Hair Crown with a nice
...of the Foreseer +45 Intellect, +45 Haste Rating, +53 Spell Power enchant on it. This one isn't listed on Wowhead yet.

He also dropped an Abandoned Adventurer's Satchel which contained a nice sum of 23G and some change, 20 Frostweave Cloth and 2 Crystallized Earth.

He dropped the same two things for me. The crown was of the necromancer, and the bag contained 23g and 20 cloth.

The odd thing about this npc is that even though its marked as a 71 rare elite, it was easier to kill than a non elite. Im a 72 hunter, and was using a level 70 gorrilla as a pet. I used mend pet on the gorrilla, as I sent him at the rhino, then was amazed as the rhino died within 10 seconds and my gorrilla never had any visible health damage on his hp bar.

Afterwards I checked the combat log and it was showing that for every two hits my pet and I got in (4 hits combined) the rhino was doing 300 damage to my pet.. which was instantly healed by mend pet.

Another oddity, when I found him, he wasn't pathing, he was just standing in place.

I just found icehorn outside En´kilah at a small pool of water, as a arcane mage he was very easy to solo (slowed him and the shooting Arcane missiles from afar, did´nt even get demaged) he dropped a mammoth-hair crown Of the necromancer whith the following stats:

68 stam

53 spell power

and 45 hit rating

along whith the abandoned adventurer´s satchel which contained 21g 20 frostweave cloth and 5 crystalised water
+ i got 10 acheivement points easy :)

Found standing still just NW of death's stand at 80 46,has a ice aura around his feet so I was confused for a second and thought he was tagged from a mage.

Found him at 92.0, 32.1 this evening, so it seems he either has a varied spawn-location or a very large patrol area.

Just to note that this guy can move from the usuall spot, after several trips past his usuall point, for some reason I hit the macro one last time before proceeding to dragonblight from borean tundra and found him further east at 88 39. So he isnt always between the building and the shore

Just killed him in Borean Tundra Just outside of Temple City of En'Kilah. Just SE of the entrance. Our Server reset (Perenolde) was at 5 am EST. Had about 13k hits and was easy kill.

I've bagged this guy twice now, both times he was in the exact same location. 88.3/39.7, just east of Death's Stand. Both times, he seemed to just be standing there, not patting around just shifting his weight waiting to be killed. It was 1155 am on Ner'zhul. Not sure when the last server restart was.

Found him northeast of Taunka'le Village. He has ice floating around his feet. Is this a special model, or is there plenty of other white Rhinos?

Killed him twice on my warrior now and on my mage, 3 times at the location east of of the ziggurat by Death's stand, 88, 39. Once just south of the ziggurat on the shore. I'm guessing he reappears around every 14 hrs or so.

Edit: also tried to skin him both times on my warrior and was not able to, nor did it say 'skinnable'. Which leads me to believe he may not be tameable. Only classified as an Elite, does not say beast.

Found and killed him west of the little Alliance camp with two soldiers, a tent and a DK horse. Easily killed by 69 shadow priest, didn't even lose HP

This rare spawn are not 1 of those sharing spawn time with other rare spawns in the zone. I once killed Icehorn and shortly after killed Fumblub Gearwind. Also if you are a Rare-Hunter, you should get the AddOn "Npc-Scan" Will warn you if theres any rares nearby

Found him this morning alittle after server restart, which was at 7am or shortly after. I was ready in Storm peaks to get Vyragosa but never had any luck so i knew pretty well where Icehorn was and figured i'd try him. Shortly after 8am i found him standing at 91.4, 32.5.

81.4, 32.0 at 7 AM EST.
I found him there, where my addon didn't show it. I was going to go to the west looking for another Rare as well. I had just killed Crazed Indu'le Survivor about 2 minutes before I found him too. Then I went north to Icecrown to find High Thane Jorfus, but someone stole the kill, and then found Syreian the Bonecarver in Grizzly Hills.

Best 30 minutes of Rare Hunting I've done, besides when I killed Vyragosa and Dirkee in the same 10 minutes the other day. =]

Just found him at 8:33pm on Shadowmoon server. I was flying past to /love a Borean Marmot and he was right there in my face. Dropped the helm, of the Foreseer. Easy kill as an 80 prot paladin, took about 2 seconds for 19g and 4 crystalized fire :D

Was flying through Borean Tundra today on the way to zul'drak to hunt for Gondria (side-note, I might be the luckiest hunter on my server... terrorpene, ghostcrawler, loque'nahak, gondria, and karoma all in the same week, all but one of those in the same day!) when I found this guy. Came here to check whether he kept his unique graphic (ice cloud around his feet) and didn't see any comments, so decided to check.

Long story short, he does not keep a unique graphic, meaning that taming him yields the same basic result as taming a non-unique rhino with the same skin. So kill away, and enjoy the achievement and gold.

Icehorn can infact, be tamed by a BM hunter. Got him at about 1:30 server time on Doomhammer. He spawned near Taunke'le Village and was just sitting there. Good Luck.

Icehorn - Frostbitten Achievement
He is a basically a normal looking rhino, only very slightly bigger.
level 71 with 13,936 HP. Very easy to kill. I killed him on my level 69 hunter -survival spec and i took him down with ease, as well as aggroing two more mobs in the process lol. He rewards about 20k XP at 69 too.

And he CAN currently be tamed. I didn't tame him, because I simply didn't want him. I couldn't even if i wanted to. I'm not BM specced, or was the right level.

I killed him at the spawn point right north of Death's Stand in Borean Tundra. He can spawn there, south of Death's Stand, and just south of Temple City of En'Kilah.
Respawn timer unknown, at the moment. But I believe 90% of the Frostbitten rares are on a 12-24 hour respawn rate.

As with many of the other Frostbitten rares, I record videos when I can, and post them on youtube. I'm still in the process of uploading them all (they are taking forever! and slow down my computer so I wait til I go to bed to upload them) This one is currently already up on my Youtube. I found two different spawn timers on the net. One said between 3-6 hours, the other mentioned between 6-24 hours. I found him after 5hours and 10 minutes. His spawn rate is awfull.

Around /way 84 46, I found lvl 71 Icehorn in Borean Tundra.

I got Mammoth-Hair Crown of the Elder and an Abandoned Adventurer's Satchel (4 cobalt ore, 20 frostweave cloth) outta him. Unfortunatly for my DK, the crown is a cloth headpiece.

This was probably the easiest rare I have ever tamed. I knew that his most popular spawn point was the one besides Death's Stand, so I parked myself there. Logged in at random times during the day today, three or four times throughout the day, and just now at 1:44am he was waiting for me when I logged on.

He's not the prettiest rare I've tamed... as someone who already has Arcturis and Terrorpene for tank pets, this one is going straight in the stable.

looking for him now, last rare i need for Frostbitten. Main is a warlock. so i'll kill him no matter what a hunter says. never thought i would farm a lvl 71 rare, but i want the achieve so i have too. the best way to find him IMO,even for the hunters, stay at least 5 minutes on his main spawn points and he'll spawn sooner or later.

Killed him today at 91.75, 32.59 (called Transborea on the minimap) at 10:08am (Melbourne, Australia time).
NPC scanner picked him up. Not sure if he was here the whole time or just spawned. I couldn't find him last night at all but I was only flying to the spots my addon pin said he spawns at. I decided to fly slightly further east this morning and there he was :)
