Soloed as 74 Rogue. Open with Garrote (I believe these 3 Elites are all immune to stuns), then hit Evasion and Adrenaline Rush. When he starts to cast 'Pulsing Shards', hit Cloak of Shadows and you will resist the entire length of this channeled spell.

As he isn't hitting you during his casting, you should have virtually full life left by the time he starts to melee again and he should go down before he gets to cast it again.

Word of warning: pulsing shards persists after death. Give him a little time before you loot him after he dies or...well...enjoy running back.

had trouble gunning him down even with all cooldowns on rogue until i hit expose armor.

if you're as poorly geared as i am i suggest you do the same.

the key to take this guy down is to run out of range when he starts to cast pusling sharts, and that other icy thing, just run 15yard off, and wait.

soloed him as a 73 DK with ease (after 3 failed attempts because i didn't move).

As a Shadowpriest just make sure you first kill a mob on the lake to stack up Shadoweaving then activate trinket and put all dots on him. Then dmg, if ur casttime gets to high make sure all dots will be up for 10seconds and use dispersion. But maybe this just works with good gear -_- If this dosen't work try Dots and running maybe with some healing, he hasnt that much hp.

Solo'd as a 72 ele shaman, as others have said all you have to do is move when he starts to cast pulsing shards and you'll be gold.

as stated above avoiding the aoe is the key part..i soloed as lvl 73 feral..i just ran in a big circle the whole fight and never got caught in the aoe

Confirming the above once more. I solo'd him as a Disc prist (average geared). Simply keep SW:P and Devouring Plague up, use Mind Blast and Holy Fire whenever they're off CD, and smite the rest. Just as long as you stay away from his AoE, he's easy.

Soloed as 74 holy paladin, solo-able even if you stand completely still, suggest you don't though.

Very easy fight. To avoid shards, stand right below him. Worked for me when I solo'd him.

Running from Iceshatter only worked so well for me. For those paladins who still get a stack or two of Pulsing Shards, Cleanse will dispel it.

I used Mark of Blood on him when used Pulsing Shards and he healed me for 500 every attack

Disc priest at level 75, I just engaged from range with PW:S up, DOTs on him, kite, when he gets close just stop and cast a Penance + Holy Fire. At that point he likely starts doing Pulsing Shards, so just run away, and renew DOTs on the move if need be. Rinse and repeat - easy kill.

just solod as 73 hunter... i only saw the script "begins to cast pulsing shard" just before he died fight last 25secs at most if it wasnt for the golden dragon i wouldnt have known it was elite, thats was with a dps pet it had just under 8k health at the end, only cast mend pet once as it charged in.

as a BALANCE DRUID caps so you can see, i sent my treants first and he started doing pulsing shards i got him down to 1/4th health than he charged me and i barkskin'ed and finished him off easy stuff

Soloed as a lvl 73 destro lock w/ imp. Not even fully geared. Not immune to stuns. Just kept shadow fury, imm+conf, dead. Didnt even need to use stone/potion

Soloed it as lvl 73 combat rogue, as long as you use evasion you're pretty much good. it also may be good to use Cloak of Shadows when you get hit with Pulsing Shards.

I just had to... hmm.. Lol at all the posts here... I'm a lvl 80 Fury warrior on Tarren mill ( Alliance ) and when i read all the posts here, there were diffrent tactics to kill him. 1. He got around 25k HP.. wich isnt that much, and most lvl 80's should have 20k+ ( melee) or 16k+ ( Ranged ), Now they said that Reflect will insta kill him, wich is not true. 1.st kill: I charged. used whirlwind, Bloodthirst, Heroic strike and then a Slam - He died, within 4 seconds. now, i didnt even lose 1000 hp at that point of time, and that spell he uses, isnt even hurting at all. 2.nd kill: ran at him, auto hitted him till he died - 10 secs. 3.rd kill: i ran at him, auto hitted him, And used Reflect on him, when he used that spell.. i needed to use reflect on him 2 times, before he died - 19 Secs.

So my conclusion is, just nuke him, if you want to kill him.

Just use the same strategy you did to kill Bonesunder and you'll beat this guy easily. Of course, it will be easier for casties because you get 4 seconds of free cast time!

Tried to do this as a Warrior moments ago, Spell Reflect did NOT work. Looks like they fixed that.

I completely noobed out on this guy the first to attempts playing with a level73 DK.

But when you run away halfway into him casting the iceshatter it gets very easy. So many thanks for that tip :)

DKs use Anti-Magic Shell when he casts the pulse, because of the spell being a harmful debuff it's not applied.

Easy one, 72 BM Hunter with green questing gear from Northrend. Didnt even bother about iceshatters, he is too weak, just dps as much as you can and let the pet hold him. It died and I finished him with an Explosive Trap.

warlock 73lvl with Felguard

first time very easy, my felguard almost died at the end from Pulsing Shards (it's not 250 but 1250 every 3 seconds) he respawned very fast maybe after 1 minute so i tried once again but this time aggroed him ,even after Soulshatter i kept aggro my Felguard died first then i did from Pulsing Shards

...maybe will try third time ;)

Solo'd as a level 74 assassination rogue in full heirlooms and quest greens/blues.

Stealthed in, cast 宿怨 then opened up with 伏擊 followed by 截肢 and 割裂Rupture. At that point he began to cast Pulsing Shards so cast Sprint and ran away until he was finished, then ran back in for the kill. Rupture and poisons had got him down to 20% when I went in to finish him.

very easy, sent pet in, planted traps under him then stood back and fired like crazy, went down pretty easy for level 76 hunter bloodelf

73 retri-paladin and full heirlooms, died twice because i didn't know he was going to be anything special. Both times i had gotten 5 stacks of some frost debuff. 3rd time i run ~20yd away the moment he started casting it and none of it hit me. Return to dps him down and down he goes with me full hp.

Lvl 73 Spriest, full 'looms, int scroll. Once he starts casting Pulsing Shards RUN AWAY! You cannot Silence, you cannot Psychic Scream, and Dispersion will not work. RUN! Once he is done casting, resume DPS. I was able to down him before I had 100 insanity

This guy has always been so f'ing annoying. Every time I have to bring a toon to kill him...I forget his abilities look similar to just a magnataur stomp. If I look carefully and read the logs/text I can see he is casting, but you better be out when he starts. He still hits like a truck!
