These contain a pile of the items you'd normally find in mislaid curios, though there's also a chance they'll summon an ethereal portal (Which functions the same as usual by sending you to the ethereal routing station for a quicker/alternate means of finishing the delve) or a shadow clone of Ky'veza who behaves the same way as the real deal albeit with lower damage/health and needs to be defeated to obtain the loot.

After a few encounters with the portal on Sidestreet Sluice level 9 delve it teleported me to a Ethereal Routing Station with two portals 以太傳送門 and 閃爍的以太傳送門 by clicking the Ethereal Portal it takes me back to the delve and nothing seems to be interactable in the room once i clicked on the Flickering Ethereal Portal a new portal spawned on top of the inital portal inside the delve, once i clicked on it 奇維扎的暗影複製體 spawned and it dropped the usual delve npc loot

Back in the roomthere is a door the leads to 使者烏蘇爾 and i have a side mission to kill 3 Bosses Harbringer Ul'thul being one of them.
Easy fight as a prot pally "Unanswered call" hits like a truck so just kite. at around 50% he despawns and shows as killed.
Next boss is 代言者珊文斯 same story, easy fight has 2 main abilities "Shadow Wave" just move to the side and "Shadowspin" once again kite the boss and he goes away at around 50%.
And last boss is 『盜墓者』乾鬚

After killing the 3 bosses it counted as finishing the delve and got the two chests and a bit of gold.

I’ve put together an in-depth guide for Flickergates here: YouTube Guide.

The fastest delve I've found so far is Nightfall Sanctum - Kyron's Assault Variant.

I was able to get 10 in under 8 minutes. 100 in under 2 hours.

The reason this is so fast and overpowered is because you can use the catapult at the start to launch yourself on the ship and instantly get an overview of the entire delve and quickly see where the Flickergate is, if you don't see it after 30 seconds just leave the delve and try again. You DO NOT have to finish the delve for this, just loot the Flickergate.

In case you are wondering - found mine today in Mycomancer Cavern UNDER WATER. Not sure if it's supposed to be there or if it's a bug.

Kriegval's Rest, right beside the routing station portal, was a Flickergate. Clicking it spawned a Flickering Ethereal Portal, which acted just like the Ethereal Portal it was right beside. I completed the delve after killing some enemies on the otherside of the portal.

Came back after hiatus from the game, and decided to try and go for the helm mog from flicker chests for my Devourer DH transmog, while not sure if the flickergates were gone in midnight or not.

Flickergates ARE still in delves, however they do not seem to spawn a chest at the end anymore? Sadness
