My opinion is that this character, in relation to his girlfriend, is a poke at all of the gamers who are more attracted to the "exotic fantasy races" of WoW and neglect real girls, or even their own girlfriends. See also the one video on youtube where the woman, trying to get her boyfriend's attention away from the game and onto her, dressed up as a night elf. After that, she was berated and told to go dance on a mailbox. She left the house and the video ended.

He seems to me to be a bit of a jab at the many gamers who have an obsession with Japanese culture and anime. His actions, such as dressing himself in Blood Elf clothes, pretending to use scrying crystals, asking his girlfriend to pretend to be a blood elf, and even exclaiming "I'm trained in the way of the Blood Knights!" all bear a similarity to certain anime fans and "Japanese culture enthusiasts."

In case you, just like me, missed the leveling in Fjord and went just for the reputation with Kalu'ak, you have to do The Dead Rise! (and the following quest line) to be able to talk to these pirates.

Priests! If you want to annoy the heck out of other people leveling here, simply pick up this quest: Gambling Debt.

Start the fight. DoT him up and Mind Control him. Let him die under the duration of Mind Control. He will not break it and will actually 'die' rather than 'surrender'.

Respawns in less than a minute, but its good fun to get people going 'wtf'.

If he becomes "red" to you while you're on any of his quests, just fly/ride/swim out to where the map says Howling Fjord, then go back to him.

It's a bit weird, when you beat him up he only uses mage abilities (Scorch and Blast Wave) but he appears to wear the red Blood Elf Warlock starter robes, instead of the violet mage ones. Maybe this is another poke at people being obsessed with a subject, but actually knowing very little about it.

I was kinda dissapointed that he's not aware of blood elf players. It was creepy and also so very funny to see him and his tent as a blood elf. Blizz could write some hilarious dialogues for us, knowing them it would be a blast. :c

Max level in Legion, but felt like working on some old content. Can't NOT 1-hit kill him, even with all gear removed AND resurrection sickness. ;( I do about 9k damage. I tried a pet under same conditions but they do like 30k. :s So close. brought my damage down from 1.5 million to 9k. So damn close. Ugh. Are there any negative stat items to wear or elixirs to drink or anything? Likely need to stack a few... Too bad I can't stack resurrection sickness. :'c

lol he's kinda like me, except I'm obsessed with the 辛迪加. Raised the rep as high as it can go (to neutral) and transmogged myself to look like a 辛迪加咒術師. But since the orange mask is a leather item and I'm a warlock, I have to settle for 辛迪加面具.
