I farmed him for some time, cause the 1. kill gave me 3 Motes.
But all subsequent kills (6 or 7 times) I only got some fragment and no mote :(
- so it seems like ordinary droprate with a slightly chance of 3 or 4 Motes.

By the way I am an Affliction Lock :) and Bansh or fear works quite well.

And he does NOT aggro adds while feared...

I just killed him.. and he gave me

I did get a 36 stamina 95 damage dagger though which would probably sell well.

My strat on killing him as a fire mage is just busting all my CD's, maybe a nightmare vine, since you dont really need a mana emerald for this (they share the same cooldown, but it's your choice), and blowing him back to the abyss! Try to attack him from LAND first, since hes able to be slowed with blast wave, and it'll give a bit of range between you and him. Counterspell his Water Bolt.. since that will hit for 2k. Normal hits aren't too bad.. from 400-800. Happy Burning!

Not sure why he is there... but he is soloable and fearable and as lock i am i kill it every 10 min he spawns. Drops Elemental fragment 3-4 and Mote of water 2-4.

Although Skettis has been furnished with the Skyguard quests, Alluvion doesn't seem to be a part of any of them. Under the lake are two large blue "summoning" circles, maybe they could be a part of a future encounter?

Easily solo by balance druid....but no interesting drop

Soloable as a rogue aswell. He's stunnable so keep him stunned. Also use kick and CoS to avoid his water bolt which is the most painful part of the fight. It's hard but managable.

After soloing this thing with a shaman burning up the 20 min cooldown earth elemental and getting 2 shards from him.. I can safely say just ignore this npc too much work no pay.

Confirmed, solo'd 70 aff lock (45/5/11), in s1 gear, 893 shadow damage. Keep him feared and he's easy as pie. His waterbolt hit me for around 2k, and his melee hits me for 1k-1.2k

Killed him 3 times:

3x 1st kill
2x 2nd kill
3x and 2x 3rd kill

I soloed him as rogue (1771 AP; 9,3k HP,24% dodge and glad. swords). He dropps 3x elemental fragment, or 3x Primordial essence, or 2-4 mote of water. be careful :)

He IS soloable by a BM Hunter, and here's how to do it.

As everything else, Hunter's Mark before starting, be near land is key here, else you'll get caught and die. Also, keep Mend Pet up at all costs here.

Misdirect to your pet, start with Aimed Shot, and use Intimidation before your second shot, or your pet will be half dead by the time you've fired your third shot.

After you misdirect, pull your pet back. Start swimming toward land, and when you get to land, pull aggro off your pet, and start running. He can be affected by Concussive Shot, so use that. Because mend pet should be kept on your pet during all these few precious seconds, he should be almost full health by now. Feign Death, pop Beastial Wrath and dps Alluvion down.

Two kills.

Kill 1: Elemental Fragment x 2
Kill 2: Mote of Water x 3

Solo'd as a Boomkin. He is rootable and only casts the frostbolt once every few seconds so you do have time to root, pot/heal/etc as a druid. Dropped 4x Elemental Fragments :(

Soloed as an enhancement shaman, just kept Frost Resist totem and Grounding down. He was hitting me from 500 to 1000, max, and his Water Bolts were easy to interrupt or Ground. I would take maybe 3k damage from his melee, heal up to full when he tried to Water Bolt me (in vain, due to Grounding totem).

I could see this being even easier as I did not pop my Shamanistic Rage for the 30% damage decrease nor my trinket for more DPS. Also, I could see an Earth or Fire elemental being used.

easily solo'd as a restro druid (16/0/045) specced into improved wrath so he drops fairly fast. easier than the trees since their not immune to nature damage.

just solod as prot pally had to bubble/heal, use LH and 1 mana pot. keep frost resist aura up and you can resist alot of his attacks ....didnt think about this till after LH lol but its not that bad ...landing blow's where hitting me for 500-1000 yellow dmg didnt see any white dmg at all during fight. after remebering frost resist i went back and downd him again with only haveing to heal my self 3 time's and yes crappy drops :( not even worth farming for mote's anymore since they dont drop everytime

Soloed as a Frost Mage. Had 10113 HP, and 9596 Mana self buffed with 897 spell damage (mainly PvP gear).

Kept ice barrier and frost ward up as often as possible, used icy veins to start off with, and arcane missiles as my main attack. Also used Fire Blast as often as possible. Used counterspell to silence its waterbolt attack the first time. Second time I iceblocked to avoid the next waterbolt, and the 3rd time had to absorb it with mana shield. Used 1 mana emerald, had around 500 HP left when it died. Dropped 3 elemental fragments, nothing else.

This elite seems to be there only for discouraging botters to farm the elementals 24/7.

Easily killed as a Elemental Shaman. Use basic tactics like

Frost resist totem
ground his water bolts and use healing wave
spam lightning bolt/chain lightning
and use shocks occasionally for extra burst damage.

Once i was killing him and a talonsworn forest-rage started attacking me from behind. i didnt realize it till i was still taking damage after i killed him. turned around basically oom. used frost shock, stoneclaw totem, water walking then booked it over the water

Leveling an alt that needed some primal waters so I took my 80 hunter up there to farm some, saw this guy again, and looked him up here since it had been so long and wanted to see if he dropped anything. Reading the posts, and looking at the drops, it seemed nothing but trash, and that even the number of motes that he drops had been nerfed so thought whatever.

Almost didn't even bother killing him then at the last second decided what the heck, just to see how he was as an elite. Not that I couldn't kill him at 80, just that some of the elites seem a lot tougher or weaker than their stated level so wanted to see where he stood on the scale. Went to loot and up pops a purple header, it was "the hammer of destiny" lol, I've only gotten like 3 world epic drops in almost 4 years of playing, and the other 2 were in vanilla wow. Only a 70 epic and not worth much any more, but I was still jazzed over the drop, especially since I almost didn't kill him.

Just soloed him as a 69 guardian druid. I needed all my cooldowns to kill him. Stealthed in as a cat to hit him with shred, rip, ferocious bite, then turned bear and went berserk on him. Used all my rage.

It took a while. Didn't drop anything but an elemental fragment, but at least I got 1301 XP out of him. In comparison, a 71 gives me 622 points and the walking tree gives me 1952 points.

When you go down to kill him, make sure you don't need to breathe.

Probably not worth bothering with.

This elite NPC has a re-spawn timer greater than 5 min. In case you were farming him like I was. Good luck!
