I suspect this rare needs to be spawned somehow with the oozes in his room, as I've sat at his cave for over an hour and it hasn't spawned. The main issue I'm noticing in the cave is that there are five Viscid Oozelot mobs which are sitting around, and three of them are chilling with partial health as they evade all attacks. The long time I've waited coupled with these bugged mobs suggests to me that they are preventing the rare's spawn.

Not quite as hard as he seems. That buff he has sounds mean but as soon as you start damaging him and he drops his AOE puddles, he'll start shrinking and weakening. Avoid the puddle and come out blasting with your hardest hitting CDs and you'll be fine.

Timer is definitely longer than 30 min, been waiting now for ~45 at the moment. I guess it's still unclear if there's something you have to do in order to spawn him? Confused by the small oozes that all evade your attacks down here.

Spawn time is at least an hour, as that's how long I had to wait. I didn't touch the slimes in his room and there was no one else around doing anything.

While waiting for him to spawn, I saw the Viscid Oozelots gain ~20% hp all around the same time. Maybe it's an indication of the timer?
Edit - nope, he spawned 25min later and they were still at the same health.

was up today around 7:00-7:05pm eastern time. Was an alliance guy trying to solo it as a ret pally, but he got demolished. I tried to help him, but as a Rogue, I ended up having to vanish after we collectively got 2/3 of his health down before I would have died. Been trying now for the last 15 mins. to find people to join me to kill him to no avail. The alliance guy sadly gave up and left. :(

I've noticed he has 20 stacks of some buff...the icon of which looks suspiciously similar to the 'Lesser Slimes' in the area. I suspect killing 20 of them may remove his stacks ?

Easily soloed as Spriest. Avoid puddles, blast away.
