This guy is easy, and found at the location on the Wowhead map, but there are an absolute ton of aggressive mobs in the area that make it a ton harder, not to mention it being right by an alliance town.

He wanders the path from Sylvanaar down to the southern cave. Doesn't hit hard though he looks like it.

Just a FYI, the whole Sylvanaar area is PvP and once you enter it you get flagged for PvP.
Also, all the mobs in the area that are not the main guy dont give any exp or loot when you kill them.

Alliance can not kill him. Just incase someone is stupid enough to try.

Don't worry about getting attacked by alliance players while fighting him. He might be friendly to alliance but you don't get flagged for harming him.

Spawns at 38,79 (follow the path south and find the last lamp on the right) and hangs out there for about 30 seconds before moving. If you're having trouble finding him, start there.

This is likely to be a reference to the treeman star player Deeproot Strongbranch from the tabletop game Blood Bowl (although looking at Games Workshop's website it seems he has undergone a name change to Thickroot Strongbranch - one too many jokes about the old name, I suppose).
