Like many of mobs that have adds, you should DEFINITELY kill the adds first. I don't know how many adds they can summon, but I've seen them with up to three. As a lvl 60 hunter, I aggro'd 2 of these punks, and, since I ignored their adds, the six skeletons ripped my cat apart before killing me pretty quickly.

Not sure if it's a bug or an undocumented change of 3.3, but questing here today, these mobs did not have their skeleton buddies.

Interestingly, this mob can cast fireball as a necrolyte, while in warcraft 1, necrolytes cast shadow spear (basically a shadow bolt) while warlocks can cast fireball.
