This guy is the newest member of the Triumvirate of the Hand (the other two being Boros and Blood Watch paladin trainer Aesom). He recently replaced his mentor—a paladin named Saruan—who met a nasty fate at the hands of the Sunhawks.

He also appears to be the youngest of the Triumvirate (based on appearance, anyway). Appropriately, his name seems to be derived from a Greek word meaning "boy" or "son."

If you watch the cut scene following this quest, you get to see him kind of snap.
