so you can.. or you cant do it for the quest but after you kill shade if you "wanted" to go back to the library you can... thats kind of pointless.... sry. i havent been to kara.. just reading lots about it and this sounds really dumb

I tried accessing him after we cleared Karazhan and all the mobs despawned. He was not inside that room.

So just a small warning: You need to talk to him before the mobs despawn

He is in the room AFTER the curator. This is NOT the same room you get ported to by the doorman.

He is in the Big room,

Directions:
From the room where you get teleported too, where you killed aran:
Go out the big door, then go right, down the ramp, past the hidden bosses door, up the other ramp, then you should be in the big room, if you are at the top of the ramp, he should be right in front of you on the other side of the room, after you speak with him, he will send you to talk to the other libriarian over to the left of him in the little indention area. Then he will send you to speak with another librarian just a little farther left in this room.

My best suggestion is to do this the next day after a clear.
