As a queer person who is normally somewhat weary of companies using “representation” as a marketing tool, I just want to say this felt really genuine to me and not forced, not something to be advertised on. Just thoughtful representation. :)

This character and his husband were REALLY nice to see as part of the night fae storyline and I’m now really excited for the campaign chapters to come because of these characters. Something as simple as making characters diverse occasionally goes a long, long way for making people feel welcome in a game world like world of Warcraft. Combined with the rest of the queer representation in shadowlands so far, and the character customization options + gender change being moved to the barber shop, I am SO happy with blizzard (who knew I’d ever say that?). Just one character or change typically comes off as a “token gay/trans/queer character” but there already have been a number of queer characters that weren’t used as advertising tools...they’re just there. It’s just a detail of the character, and importantly, of multiple characters. That’s what genuine representation is. And that’s what I’m seeing in world of Warcraft.

This kind of stuff is deeply appreciated by the people/communities that can, often for the first time, connect with characters in the games we play. :)

His ability for companion table seems total garbage... heals himself? Right now I have the quest pending and am not turning it in because when you get a new companion it will throw off your team average and drop your troops by 3-4-5 levels. Last time I got a new companion my troops went from 36 to 31 when I'm facing L48-50 quests and all my primary companions are 39-42.

Short story, I'm not accepting a weak/bad companion until they fix the troop de-level when adding them.

If you speak to him before completing the quest "The Speaker of Elune" his text box says "Oh dear." This may be a reference to the fact that he is a deer.

Is it confirmed which world he and his husband come from? They don't seem to be from Azeroth, so it's interesting to note that Elune's power is far reaching in the cosmos. She's certainly not tied only to Azeroth's moon.
