For the Torghast: Beasts of Prodigium I was relieved to find there weren't new beasts roaming around. Instead you have the choice of a Maw pet, which acts as a kind of guardian. For the event I picked 瓦里歐克 for his AoE abilities. I ran Soulforges. I liked the look of this animal. He did tend to engage groups a bit soon, when I would have picked off many ads individually. A couple of things:
Although I set 瓦里歐克 as my focus, it didn't hold and I kept resetting it -- I wanted to keep an eye on his health. And although he is my pet while in the instance, his portrait didn't shown under my mine, as a pet ordinarily would.
I noticed 瓦里歐克's health kept dropping and occasionally returning. Health didn't seem to return after combat and I couldn't heal him. The drop is health was probably because I picked 飢餓靈魄 as an anima power choice. The Maw pet's damage is increased by 100%, but 2% of its health is lost for every second in combat.
Abilities:
聚合靈魄 and 噬魂嚎叫. I didn't hear the howl or notice any graphics.
After a while, the anima power choices included spells to increase the damage, haste, stamina or healing of the Maw pet.
Save 300 幻魄 to buy 共生精華 from the broker. This increases your Maw pet's healing by 100% and also heals you.
