Simone is seen as one of the easiest of the 4 demons that you must slay for the hunter quest. She patrols western Un'goro as 'Simone the Inconspicuous' and only a hunter on the Rhok'delar quest can challenge her. As with all the demons, you must kill her alone, meaning that nothing can assist you (horde or alliance alike) in the kill, including your pet. Symone will also 1 hit any non-hunter class if they get within around ~25 yds of her.

There are two things that can make this fight difficult, her pet, a felhound named Precious and low nature resistance. Most hunters tend to CC Precious by freezing trap it and then using http://www.wowhead.com/?item=2091 to put it to sleep after the trap fades. Using ranged attacks is useless because she casts a debuff that substantially lowers ranged attack power. Your best bet is to use aspect of the wild + a greater nature protection potion (to dull and absorb her lightning bolts) and melee her until she falls.

(Strategy from TKA something)

Strengths:
* Her pet turns into an elite felhound when the encounter begins
* Casts Temptress' Kiss which reduces ranged attack power by 1400 for 45 seconds and a slow casting lightning bolt for about 800 damage
* The demon and the felhound cannot be kited at the same time

Weaknesses:
* Viper Sting causes a silenced state on the demon
* Her pet is susceptible to ice trap
* Her lightning bolt can be interrupted with Scatter Shot. Aspect of the Wild helps reduce the damage it does (from 800 to about 200)
* Her melee damage output is relatively weak - you can kite her but you're probably better off meleeing

Strategy:
I consider myself a well-equipped hunter for melee purposes, so I didn't really mess around with too many gimmicks here. I simply dropped a Freeze Trap in front of me, Aimed Shot the demon, and let the felhound run into the trap because she's trying to stop to cast. Concussive Shot her and wait until the last possible second to apply the Viper Sting before she gets within melee range. That way, you have roughly 15 seconds of un-interrupted melee against her until she can even cast again. After Viper Sting wears off, either interrupt her lightning with Scatter Shot or get back out of melee range and apply another Viper Sting. Rinse and repeat. You can use Aspect of the Wild to help reduce the lightning damage, but I chose to just to use Aspect of the Monkey and tank her, interrupt with Scatter Shot. Found it to work very well. You also do not need to kill the felhound solo after she dies.

* Alternatively, you can kill the felhound first. Lay a Freeze Trap, with your target for the trap being the demon herself. Have Aspect of the Cheetah on and make sure to line up a kitepath. You can open with an Aimed Shot the felhound or Concussion Shot, Serpent Sting and then start kiting. Do not fire another Concussion Shot on the felhound once the battle begins. You want to maintain your lead ahead of the Demon once Freeze Trap breaks as you kite the felhound around. You should merely shoot the felhound with Arcane, and re-apply Serpent Sting when it fades. Once the felhound is dead, Serpent Sting the incoming Demon (make sure to do this quickly so that she doesn?t abandon aggro on you). Run in, and melee her. When she begins to cast her lightning bolt, count to 3, and use Scatter Shot. Then continue to melee her down after switching to Aspect of the Wild.

*Additional items to bring: Mongoose Potion, Demonslaying Potion, Whipper Root Tuber, Major Health/Mana Potion, Nature Protection Potion

Suggestions:
* You may want to bring a hunter friend along, who will feign death for the duration of the battle, while keeping Aspect of the Wild on. That will free you up to use another Aspect during the fight. Remember that you will have to remain in range of them for this to be effective (and the fight will have to be under six minutes).
* If you are an engineer, you can use the Goblin Rocket Helmet to take the Felhound pet out of the fight for an extended duration (in addition to freezing it).
* If you are not an engineer, try to obtain some Magic Dust. Its effect puts the enemy target to sleep for up to 30 seconds. Any damage caused will awaken the target. Only one target can be asleep at a time. It is a rare drop from Dust Devils (who are themselves rare) in Westfall.

I froze the pet and meleed her. wingclip every few seconds to get out and viper sting her. when the trap broke, I used magic dust to sleep the pet. when that broke, I used deterance to help me tank out the last little bit. once she died, I looted and feigned death, never had to kill the pet. My hunter is an undergeared alt (by domo-chest looting standards, anyway) so I used the following tricks:

1)"demonslayer" sword with a demonslaying enchant
2)elixir of demonslaying
3)elixir of greater intelect (though I had no mage buff, so if a mage buddy wants to tag along, that works)
4)elixir of the mongoose
5)priest fort buff
6)sayge's dark fortune of damage (darkmoon fair buff, 10% bonus damage)
7)greater nature resist pot
8)major health pot
9)whipper root tubers (didn't actually use one, but I had it on hand)

I did this fight with only a paladin for Blessing of Wisdom after the 2.01 patch. I used a nature resistance potion and aspect of the wild. Here is my strategy, I'm horribly geared (Hurricane bow).

Place a frost trap, wait for the cooldown to finish. Pull her with an aimed shot then concussive shot, the pet should step in the trap. As soon as it does, lay another trap directly on top of the iced up pet, do it immediately to start the timer. Melee her down, I used scatter shot to interrupt her lightning, but if you have a nature protection potion (or two), it shouldn't really matter. The pet will break trap and step in the next trap. Keep meleeing Simone down. When the second trap breaks, throw some magic dust at the pet. It's not hard to get, and it will almost ensure victory. When your icetrap cooldown is finished, place another one directly on top of the sleeping pet, when the sleep breaks, it will step into the trap again.

That's two traps, magic dust, and another trap. If they last their full duration (they did for me), without talented traps, that's 90 seconds of no pet (108 with talents). I used an Ice Barbed Spear to melee her down, the pet was only hitting me for the last chunk of the fight.

Put on your nature resistance gear and aspect of the wild and you should have no problem killing her regardless of interrupts on the bolts. I don't believe that you need to waste time doing viper sting, just hang in melee range and keep chain trapping the pet, making sure to keep her and the pet separated so she doesn't step on your trap.

I believe that most of the Hunter demons work like this: If you are underprepared, you will either lose or barely win. If you come prepared with the appropriate strategy, you'll win with most of your life left. At least, that's how it was with me.

This fight is quite easy as long as you can CC either Simone or Precious. The hardest part imo is finding the right spot to fight her, Devilsaur adds can ruin your day ;)

Since the 2.0 patch this fight is even easier with traps being able to be set in combat.

Trap precious and melee Simone, keep Aspect of the Wild up or use a Greater Nature Protection potion two minutes prior to the fight and use Aspect of the Monkey instead. You can simply deterrance tank inbetween trappings of Precious or you can head to Westfall and kill the Dust Devil's there and aquire Magic Dust which you can use on Precious.

The changed Viper Sting no longer seems to apply a silence effect to her anymore.

If you are having trouble you can try and split Precious from Simone and kill him first with a kite around the Golakka Hot Springs.

I would like to note that on my hunter whos speced BM, that you can definitely have your pet out while you fight simone just do not have it engage her or her pet. I used it for spirit bonds regen effect this most definitely does work completed it no more then 10mins before this post.
Artorius is still confirmed to drop head in his tauren form. Solenor aswel, just note do not have pet out for either of those nor Klinfran. Klinfran and Simone do not attempt out of their true forms or they will instagib you with fools plight. They are too easy of fights to need to take them on the way they are.

If you accidentally send your pet in at any point, human form or otherwise, Cleaners get summoned and they will wipe you out.

Think about the children, dismiss your pet or respec out of BM- it's more hassle than it's worth.

Guys,
This is by far the easiest, a paladin aggro'ed her in troll form and he killed her for me
she did NOT run away and I DID loot the head

I got a pala friend who aggro'ed the one in un'goro accidentally
and killed her, I could still loot the head.

this worked on the one in silithus as well, and I suspect it will work on the others too...

Found my old videos on a random cd of vanilla WOW, killing the hunter quest boss's.
Really enjoyed these quests but the quality isn't that great as it was ages ago.

Boss was located in 安戈洛環形山 patrolled as a Troll called 平凡的西蒙妮 This was a unusual fight for a hunter as it was melee...... the best method was to just put her pet out of the fight for as long as you could,freeze trap the pet the get to work on Simone. Having a 2nd hunter in the group helped aswell with Aspect of the Wild 9she did nature damage) on and a Goblin Rocket Helmet helped to further get the pet out the fight.

For the Legion Invasion version, see 迷人的西蒙妮. Note that the The Legion Assault of Stormheim needs to be underway and you have to have the quest for Feast of the Hounds still in progress to attack her in Felscale Cavern .

She is in Stormhelm in Felscale Cavern, at map cords 37.33, 40.12 appears when the legion is invading, rare quest marked, no idea how to trigger her, she is charming a gnome that causes the portal to be open.
