I used to play Oblivion a lot, I mean all the time. My main was a Khajiit Rogue and I stacked speed in every way possible. By the end I could outrun horses and run halfway across the map before a fast-travel loading screen happened. However, I never moved as fast as this guy does when you think he's on the other side of his walkway and you have time to kill that mob. My sneak was also fully stacked, so much so that the Imperial Guards couldn't catch or find me. This guy though... his sneak ability is so high that despite the fact that he shakes the ground when he walks... he still sneaks up behind you and smashes you into the ground. He's not wearing much clothes but he must be a great enchanter because his speed and sneak skills are off the charts.

Don't go clubbing with this guy. Even though you can spot him a mile away, this guy shows up when you least expect it, even when you have to quest down there later on. But you can recognize it's him when the ground shakes

THIS GUY.

I accidentally aggro'd him when killing a harpy. My poor voidwalker didn't stand a chance, but he gave his poor blueberry life so I'd have a few seconds to get away.

But did THIS GUY stop after a little bit and reset? No, no he did not.

THIS FRICKIN GUY

Chased me aaaaall the way up the hill.
Aaallll the way down the road
Aaallll the way to the cave
INTO the cave
Across the bridge
And he finally reset when I was almost through to the cave's other exit.

I swear he's only "Gornoth the Lost" because he chases people so far he can't remember where he lives anymore.

This Giant Elite Ettin can cause you to have several corpse runs if you're not careful doing that World Quest in the area.

A helpful tip to prevent yourself from becoming a pancake: place a raid marker on him. It'll make keeping track of his location considerably easier.

Also... watch your back!

I was able to get around him by sticking to a few rock formations near the harpies. When he'd come by, I'd hide behind the rocks.

I accidentaly found him and was like: ooo 20M hp elite, he must drop something good :D
So actually, it is not as hard to kill him as it looks.
I soloed him with disc priest ilvl842 or so, but used all mana with shadow mending.
You just have to not stand in AOE when he uses it and heal if you are under 50% hp.
Also if you mistakenly aggro harpies, kill them first.

You can use trees to block him a little, it can give you some seconds while he gets to you by path.

This guy needs to be removed; he serves no purpose except to one shot people who are leveling in the area. This is not fun, it's annoying as hell. Why Blizzard would put such an enemy in a level area is beyond me

Protip if you're like me and (as a shadow priest) your stupid void tendril latched its mind flay onto him for no reason and you tried to use that momentary slow to get away
He will not stop chasing you
He followed me halfway back to thunder totem while i kept kiting him hoping at some point he'd reset but nope, he just keeps coming

A Night Elf was killing it, so I helped, being the friendly Goblin that I am. Then things started chasing me, and then more things, so it was me kiting 6 harpies and a giant bear while a night elf was battling an Ettin. We did kill it in the end, and I somehow survived all the things trying to eat my low level goblin. But damn, it was fun, recommend it to everyone!

Me ( Gnome Warlock ): *Looks at his Infernal* RUN, JUST FUSHIN RUN, MOVE IT! GO GO

* Infernal dies *

* Keeps running *

* Gornoth Misses his attack *

* Runs up to a barrel *

* Gets in the barrel *

* Fails to get in the barrel somehow *

* Dies *

In conclusion.... We should kill Gornoth not the Burning Legion.

Seeing as the alt I'm leveling is only 101 right now and Gornoth doesn't scale, I can't quest in his wandering zone without him coming and one-hitting (or, if I'm lucky, two-hitting) me. I got someone on a 110 to kill him, but he was back super quick. I think there are a few easy changes Blizz could choose from to make him less terrible and frustrating:
- Have him level scale
- Have him stay in one area
- Slow down his movement speed
- Have him be neutral instead of hostile

...But then again, maybe they want this giant to chain-murder everyone who happens to be on a sub-110.

Aggroed him by mistake while clearing the bonus objective and killing harpies. At level 103 (troll ele shammy), I-level 145, I decided to fight, lol. Threw down my totems and called my earth elemental to tank him. Was slowly whittling him down when I got three adds--two harpies and a bear--tried every trick but of course died. I'll come back for him some day. He doesn't seem to drop much in the way of loot, so it's no big loss. He didn't have the usual star for a rare, so what's his status? Is he part of a three-player quest or something?

I just found this big pain in the ~~ass~~!

I thought to myself “Oh, he is huge! I bet he drops something good!”

*That was the moment she realized....she f’d up.*

Went after him and had him to about 50% when I realized I pulled a ton of Harpies and ended up dying.

I decided to try again, only this time I forgot to use my shield (priest). He killed me in 2 hits. 😑

Needless to say, after looking it up...he doesn’t drop anything good and is a useless NPC. I don’t usually hold grudges but I WILL be coming back for him eventually
