Blizzard Sends Chris Metzen Thrall Statue

Chris Metzen, the voice of Thrall, has received a special gift from Blizzard--the new Thrall statue from the Gear Shop. Formerly the Senior Vice President of Story and Franchise Development at Blizzard Entertainment, Metzen recently came out of retirement to announce his new company,
Warchief Gaming
.

tweeted out the statue
, placed next to a piece of art he commissioned from
Alex Horley Art
depicting Thrall sharing a happy moment with Aggra and his children--art imitating life. While he's
been open about mental health in the gaming sphere
and no longer works for Blizzard, Metzen
continues to voice Thrall
and appears to identify closely with the character--his new company's name can even be seen as a reference to the character.
The Thrall statue went on sale a few weeks ago, and in retrospect, would have likely been revealed at BlizzCon 2020 alongside a gigantic Thrall statue (similar to past exhibition hall characters like Jaina and Illidan). You can get your own statue following the links below!
