First off; props to Blizz for finally making some of the event items relevant. For too long items dropped from these events have been resigned to vanity or alts.

That being said I hope they don't creep the items so much that by Halloween this item isn't good anymore. Also Since I never get rares from events (I haven't received a single event pet or mount in 4 years) I guess I shouldn't really expect to get this anyway..

I just regret that yellow socket, with that socket bonus its almost criminal to not socket for it, yet losing a +40 Str gem is sad..

I've always loved this helm.

I wish the on-use effect included the creation of a Flaming Pumpkin in the character's hand that was then thrown at whatever was targeted.

Cata itemization has been incredibly linear(/bland) so it's a big surprise to see something like this come along. I wonder if it's a bug or if it's going live like this.

This helm is a 365 with the Strength budget of a 384, the secondary stats of a mid-350s, and Stamina of a mid-330s. Given how much better Strength is than secondary stats this expansion, this makes it a ridiculously well-itemized piece and very comparable to 378s.

As someone who has been unlucky enough to not see the Alysrazor helm, or a tier token from Ragnaros, I am very excited at the prospect of picking this helm up.

I'm predicting that alot of people will be trying to get this helmet when it becomes available. There are only 3 other PvE plate DPS helmets currently in the game better than this one all of which require killing a difficult raid boss to obtain.

As of currently right now (10/18/2011 - 11am), you can disenchant this item for a Maelstrom Crystal. I'm not sure if this item being able to be disenchanted is intended on Blizzard's end.

This is also arguably BETTER than 貪噬大口巨盔 (for fury warriors that is) due to the str stat being so high, and it has hit over the mastery and it has a yellow gem socket allowing for a 20 str 20 crit gem...
If you ask me, it is kind of dumb to see this overranking some other dps helms that are 378 (Warrior Tier Token or the helm linked before).

Just had this drop for me today. Pumpkin loot drops appear to be un-updated so far, but I'm guessing this as well as the other epics are pretty rare.

Also, wanted to mention, if you use 軟黏魔化太妃糖 + helm, it makes you look even more wicked!

"Use" can be triggered while on either a ground or flying mount (it will also do the emote animation on your toon, too, while mounted: does not dismount you).

I really do wish these items were bind on account/use, to let you send to a toon that can actually use it. Agil sword basically is for Combat Rogues and that's it. Make em all able to be traded in your own account but bound once you use it on a toon. That said, seems odd it has that much str, maybe overbudgeted, because it seems almost better than the Voracious Maw helm off Alys just because of that for Fury Warriors. Needless to say I hope I get it to try it out.

Totally agree with SinisterKnight. Bind on Account would be great, but I guess Blizzard feel if they do this for this item it then opens the doors to do it for other items. I really want this helm for my fury warrior, and the thought that I might get it on my other chars is so frustrating. A friend did the boss twice, on different chars, and got the sword on each occasion - neither char could use it - such a waste.

It's smart some of the time. It depends entirely on the socket bonus and color. Take, for example, Arion's Crown with its blue socket and +30 haste bonus. The likelihood of 30 haste + 20 hit being equivalent to 20 agility is small and is highly reliant on you needing the hit and not having elsewhere to put it that provides agility.

According to Mr.Robot this helmet is the third best in slot helmet for an arms warrior.

2011 Hallow's End version of this will go down as a fail for not making it Boss Loot and - if the rings are anything to go by - making the only 'can't use' option destroy/delete.

To be honest, the whole "you must Raid, if you want a full Epic set of gear" is the biggest Cataclysm let-down in the game to me; at least with TBC/WotLK Raid tokens you could get (some of ?) them w/ Badges/Emblems/'points' -- what happened to the Cataclysm version of 無定保衛者之冠 which you can get with JP's (Emblems, before revaluation) to be able to get 征服者破陣盔帽...?

EDIT: All 5 pc's of the Conqueror's Siegebreaker set (other Class sets are available) were available form Raid tokens (if you Raided) or dungeon currency (for said tokens) if you didn't - Cata doesn't (plan to ?) seem to offer 淒涼鎮壓者頭盔/淒涼征服者頭盔/淒涼保衛者頭盔 (again, other Class tokens are available) for JP's/VP's...

2nd EDIT: Yes, the Zandalari Hc's offer iL353 heads, etc but they don't count for 大災變紫裝人...

Thank you Blizzard, for the 13 (ironic, huh?) helms I have gotten across all my level 85 characters... My Mage has 2, My Priest has 3, My Hunter, Rogue And Druid all have one.

But, not my tank... alas, yet another year (3rd) that my Paladin is left out of the plate helm fun, and I will be denied the pleasure of macroing that laugh as I slaughter my foes in the battlegrounds and arenas.

I hate RNG, and poorly designed loot tables.

Anyway... grats to all those that DID get theirs (and their mount, but I won't go there.)

I have worked for this every day to get the helm on a plate wearer. I have run nine separate toons each day, so far I have recieved it on my Warlock, Priest, Mage, Druid, Rogue, and twice on the Hunter. Is this random? Not one of the three plate wearers have seen anything but a weapon that is rather useless stat wise. It is rather frustrating to find the odds stacked against a toon that can use this item being able to get it. I suppose there is next year when I will face the same sort of RNG dissatisfaction. I am putting my plate wearers out to pasture where I hope they can rust in peace, forgotten by the whims of impossible dreams.

Got this on my warrior for offspec, i'm tanking in the top guild of the realm and using this macro to drive everyone crazy which is playing with sounds during raid as there are so many single tanked bosses in Firelands! :D
